- Using Guile is not a free win.
- Guile takes a lot of work to play because of his variable normals and spacing strategies.
- Characters that take lots of work to win with in SF4 (SSF4) are never popular.

actually it still sucks that the flash explosion didnt auto correct into rufus on the crossup dive kick, if Capcom had fixed that ultra flaw and made the GMan like Kens ultra I…INSTANT S-tier! LOL
I started playing guile about 2 months ago after seeing some Daigo videos from super turbo. I gave him up after a week or so. His play style didn’t match mine. I’ve been maining Ryu and made good progress with him. It wouldn’t be beneficial to my game to switch mains and start from the bottom.
For everyoe who’s going to jump on the guile train, it’s not something that will happen over night. he plays differently than everyone else.
I never liked Guile besides CvS2, but dash and knee bazooka to ultra vs fireballs just buffed the hell out of Guile on that alone. Guile looking real good, but I’ll stick to Abel.

This is going to be hilarious. I mained Guile in Vanilla (hard times) and all throughout the SFII series (back when he was actually good), can’t wait to see how many scrubs will start using Guile just because Daigo did it. The level of player worship is fucking ridiculous. If I’m not mistaken wasn’t Guile one of his mains back in the day?
I’ve been maining Guile for years, and I don’t mind people starting to main him because of Daigo. That’s their choice to make. However, I’m not too big on mirrors so I’ll probably not pick him too much when I get SSF4 on Tuesday depending how much he’s being used online. It’s a good thing I have other mains.
I hope everybody uses Guile.
