To Dark Geese! Please read!

The reason Im trying to run Japan down is because though it may not be you Akuma, I run into too many ignorant Japanese dickriders. My thing is this sir- I believe there is talent all throughout the world.

Many people are very close minded and believe Asia rules all. I do not believe this is the case, as I say there is talent everywhere. Japan doesnt care about KOF? How do you know this? Not only do they care about KOF 2002 but practically all of Japan cares about KOF 2002 UM and as I said before Ivan (the best player in Chihuahua, Mexico) beat Bata (One of Japan’s best in 2k2UM) 5-3 and 6-2. Bata was getting very frustrated, he was impressed etc.

I mean I’d like to hear how are you so sure Japan doesnt care about KOF 2002 and 2002UM because I have evidence from Dune (The guy that runs the most prominent KOF tournament in Japan Duelling the KOF) to suggest otherwise.

Once again I’m not saying you are a Japanese dick rider, I’m saying I run into TOO MANY that refuse to see that Japanese players CAN BE BEATEN. I have a bunch of Japanese friends and man Bata is real cool man, but I want people to open their minds and stop having this TUNNEL VISION…

Apartheid- Thanks man I do understand and likewise I wish you the best of luck.

This compiles my sentiments exactly.

counterproductive [?ka?nt?pr??d?kt?v]
adj
tending to hinder or act against the achievement of an aim

example: making a statement about having a greater number of brain cells immediately after illustrating a lack of understanding of what “literal” means. Of course, if I’m wrong and you actually play King of Fighters in West Lilliput, then by all means, I’ll take back what I said.

Looks like the MB Mibbit channel has taken note of this thread

This thread is an undulating mass of bad posts; we’re even attracting shit particles from outside of the shit nebula!

( We may even reach shitical mass if this keeps up !!! )

Hey Emil my buddy- I was thinking about you with this:

Dark Geese Uploads Vids of Dark Geese

Hi wuff

wow, lots of stuff happened in this thread since I read it last.

I watched more videos and the proof that Bata was having execution troubles is quite staggering. Again, bragging about beating a crippled player as he is struggling (and probably wondering why nothign is coming out right) is pretty low and shows you don’t really have much confidence in what you’re actually saying.

Did you know that I beat Lecter pretty easily, like 20-0 or something, online…it wasn’t laggy at all…but he was on keyboard and not able to execute. Now, ignoring the fact that this was online, this example is almost entirely the same as Bata’s “defeat”. Do I proud of beating Lecter? No, it doesn’t mean anything to me when he’s in that situatoin - in fact, from the very first match that I played him, I was able to notice “wait…something is wrong. He is clearly not playing like I know he does” and I was right. At first I thought he just wasn’t trying, but he said after it was due to the controls.

And then to go so low as to state (in your video comments) that are going to use Bata as an example of how the Japanese aren’t gods or some shit, is laughable. You prove time and time again that you will do anything to get people to join your side and believe the crap you’re saying, and I’m already seeing a bunch of people that didn’t actually know what was happening in that tourney, stumbling upon the videos and making wrong judgements. You keep talking about how other people are being ignorant and don’t know what’s going on but actually…it looks like this is what you hope for when you upload videos of matches or you talking - you hope that you can convince people that don’t know what’s really up, things that are wrong.

And lol at finally other people aside from me, pointing out how you are constantly steering discussions towards some other topic by replying with comments that have nothing to do with what is being discussed.

Was Bata playing on JAPANESE COMPONENTS for the 2k2 and 2k2UM tourneys? Put an end to all doubt, yes or no.

from what I understand he wasnt.

He was cheated with this

.

A makeshift Super fitted with a Wico top?

If my understanding is correct, Bata isn’t even that big on 2k2? This whole event was set up to play down Bata in a game that isn’t even his best. This would be analogous to beating Xiaohai in Kizuna Encounter.
There’s a lot wrong with this event:

  1. DG being only source of info (haven’t heard anything from Bata).
  2. Bata not getting sticks appropriate for him.
  3. So much talk about 2k2 when in 98 he couldn’t even do basic moves.
  4. Vids of #3 were taken down, as if there is something to hide.
  5. After vids are taken down, 98 (the game Bata plays best in) issue is swept under the carpet.

I don’t like this whole setup. I’m a huge proponent for people stepping up in their respective games and getting to play top comp, but this event doesn’t seem like that’s what it’s really about. Before I’m being accused of being a Japan nuthugger, you’ll know I’m one of the first to say that America cleanly beats Japan in a few games.
I’d like for a somewhat impartial party to setup the Americas vs Japan… And have the players be able to play at their very best. Comp is not comp when the players are not in their competitive element. This is not to say that if people are not in their own country that the win / loss doesn’t count, but that the players need the bare basics (sticks, food, water, a place to sit down / stand up, have a good version of whatever game is being played). If these requirements aren’t being met the event is not legit.

This is off topic, but I keep laughing at MezzoForte’s avatar.

I feel sorry for Bata…Most of the vids ive seen him in he is shaking his head and getting angry at himself and the constant “chatter” from DG isnt helpful either. Bata must of been under huge pressure to perform, to even get things out on the hardware, having constant talk going on all while playing good Mex players. To me, its as tho the whole reason to get Bata to Mex was to showcase a beating and not in the sense of a good sportmanship and fair play. It looks like if was all for prove (Emil the most) that jap players can be beat. I would of like to see some good matches regardless of who wins or loses…Getting a japanese players there was a great feat but gets over shadowed by controversy.

In DG defence, cant blame him for the hardware tho because Bata should of well known that the hardware would be different. Hell Mex dont even have Vs city / sit down cabs (im guessing), so standing up is already an uncomfortable way to play. Maybe its a learning curve for Bata for next time, and Ill use SBO as an exmaple because I know the korean sticks and jap sticks are different and I dont recall the koreans getting a special cab with their type of stick replaced for them when they play. Like everyone else they have to adapt and deal with it. Even the people that I know that went to Jap and compared the sticks to ours (AUS) and they say its hell different…

But like others, I just feel like this was more to prove a point then having a good show of games and tournament. Belittling the player and he is a guest in the country!!! I dont blame him if he doesnt go back. Im very interested to see what happens when the rolls are reversed and you go to japan…

I wouldn’t say that this is Dark Geese just hazing Bata, but cultural differences. One thing I have noticed between Asian friends playing the game is that they’re quiet while playing games. On the other hand my Mexican friends make one hell of a spectacle and are rowdy as fuck when playing. It’s a nice contrast and I’d say it’s just cultural differences in how people get the enjoyment in playing. There is a sort of fun in the loudness.

I’d place a lot of it on being out of his element as each country has their own style and not only do people get used to it, but it becomes a comfort in a way. I’ve never in my life saw a sit down arcade which I’m sure the Japanese see every day. Standing up to play a game has got to be terribly uncomfortable to them. Same with the style of joystick. I can’t for the life of me use a Sanwa or Seimetsu due to all those years of using Happ only. But if you are going to go to someone else’s country you should at least be familiar with the setup so you can have some time to prepare. The mix of all of this would make an already uncomfortable situation even more uncomfortable. But that’s the breaks when you go to another country to play the game. This isn’t bad or good, but just how it plays due to each countries setup.

I dunno about Bata not coming back. This may just be the jump start to get Bata going back to Japan to declare some war. You know, round up more of the top Japanese talent to come back to Mexico and start some rivalries. It reminds me of Chris Hu when he got beaten by Mr. KOF. Did he really back down? Didn’t he in this topic say he wanted to bring some of his allies as backup to show what his country is made of? This is what is really needed in all honesty. What can be defeat or humiliation can be a cultural learning experience and they can study this to take proper precautions for next time. But is interesting in the concept of bringing allies together to see who can really bring out the true skills.

But there’s not only the arcade scene, but the hospitality itself. The games are only a part of the overall experience. I’m a bit more curious on how Bata was treated when shown around the culture with the food and lodgings. That can leave just as much as an impact if not moreso then the actual games.

All right guys as much as I would love to stay in this thread, I’m not going to. If you all wish to continue this thread with my input then I ain’t doing it here. We can continue it on my forum where I have control over the trolls and am able to properly moderate what goes on and what doesn’t. Also btw we treated Bata like a king in Juarez, took him around the town, fed him, he played when he wanted to, ate when he wanted too, slept when he wanted to, we even took him to the Strip Club and he had quite a good time. He definately has said he wants to come back very soon! He praises Abraham’s style of play and is looking forward to Abraham playing in Japan.

This discussion if you want my input can go in the JuareZ WarZone Results discussion. If not I will not reply in here anymore.

Last video I will leave you all with here if you want anymore you gotta get them off youtube or on my forum:

Tournament match as promised and this is on a Japanese cab that is in the Plaza of the Americas:

Not saying what I said was right or wrong but thats what I sense when I watched the vids and how it looks.

I wasnt talking about the cultural differences…Maybe i didnt say it properly. What I mean was that every comment was toward the mex players for it being a great move or a win for them. Not once did I hear a “nice” or “good game bata”. I dont know, i guess I was expecting some kind of good commentating towards both parties and not always praise to the Mex, even tho they did win their games and did do good stuff. Just feels like a slap in the face if he is already not playing his best and not on his best game.

Well the reason for the trip was for the comp, so that plays a huge part in reasoning for going back or not. Lodging and food etc are, to me, a side issue.

In regards to the sticks, people that are saying that he played bad because of it in a sense is true but to be a good player and going around to comps, you have to be aware and adapt to different hardware to your abilities. Again, Bata should of known that and adjust to do what he do at the time. A lose is a lose, but a learning experience lost at that. Which is why I said it will be interesting when the mex go to jap (if they do) because Bata and japs will be in their comfort zones and the mexs wouldnt be.
