Nope, this is just the beginning actually that’s what it is. Bata is the beginning of what will be something that is going to happen on a continual basis. Him being nervous and all that other stuff Im gonna call it what it is-EXCUSES.

Beating a “crippled” Bata doesn’t prove anything, it was 100% obvious in so many of the videos (not just the super obvious kof98 video) that he couldn’t execute. Now you’re talking shit after some mexicans beat him when he couldn’t execute (a better question would be, why did STILL many mexicans lose to him when he was struggling so much to execute). The only reason you are talking shit is because you think you can, after the fact that he lost…but I bet if he won, or if it was the mexicans having the execution troubles instead of Bata, you would have been dead silent - that’s the type of person you prove to be over and over.

The Bata that played at Mexico was like 25% of what he really is, if you actually did your research on Bata yourself.

Eh, no he doesn’t. He had to deal with:

  1. Unfamiliarity with the culture of the people around him, which would obviously make him nervous and uneasy
  2. Unfamiliarity with the stick, resulting in MANY misexecutions and resultant frustration because of that, making it even worse

  2. You list a bunch of statistics, but have you really watched many (or any) of his matches prior to this tournament?

The funny thing is, atleast from the videos you uploaded, even with the tons of misexecution sand the nervousness of Bata, you can tell his sense of consciousness and overall knowledge was above the mexicans he was playing.

Edit: You keep talking about how people shouldn’t be making excuses, but that’s all you do when people point out you playing horrible in practically every video you upload of yourself playing. “Oh it was casuals”, “oh I was just teaching him stuff”, “oh I was not revealing my true skill until it mattered”. Regardless of whether he wins or not, there is a very clear difference in execution(and by execution, I don’t just mean combos but basic moves and movements as well) compared to the mexican matches.

  2. yeah… i mean he went there without his own stick (kof2k2um arcade is not released in mexico,right?)… if i go to a foreign place to compete without my stick i would at least try their own a little bit before starting the whole thing,right? dunno…2 hours of practice?3? …it’s not an excuse…

There are many things that can make you nervous. I’m not sure how nervous Bata was at SBO, but what I do know is that going to a country you’ve never been to, where you don’t speak the language and don’t know what many people are talking about around you, can make many people uneasy.

I don’t consider the nervousness a big reason why he lost, but it probably adds to his frustration with the sticks. Think about it, the guy came all the way to Mexico to show them what Japan is about, and then once he’s there, he notices he definitely cannot play at the skill level that he’s really at…

Yes for whatever reason, he didn’t bring his stick…not sure why, but either way, the point is that he was having major trouble with executing with the stick.

I aint riding the Mexican dick. I’m trying to get them exposure because all I hear you guys doing is talking about the Japanese players being Gods. All I am is the guy trying to open people’s eyes to what is out there in other countries. Too many people are narrow minded to think its all about a few countries. No it’s not. Bottom line: Every country has great players that JUST NEED EXPOSURE AND YOUTUBE TIME AND PROMOTION LIKE THE JAPANESE PLAYERS THAT EVERYONE AROUND THE WORLD KNOWS. Just because other countries may be poor or not have money doesn’t mean they arent good. Matter of fact its the poorer countries that KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO KOF and thats what I wanna show and I think it’s a good start with JuareZ WarZone.

Now I aint against the Japanese at all dont get me wrong, I just think other people need to get the same credit as they do and JuareZ WarZone certainly helped to show that did it not???

From the USA I’ll hype Mr. KOF, Reynald etc to no end like I am Mexico and will Panama etc.why? I think they deserve that respect so I’ll lobby for them getting that respect!

I’ll be the Don King of SNK gladly and politic for these players to get respect, then THEY GOTTA PRODUCE!

That’s true but i think everybody can get over the “people talking around you” factor during a competition… i mean unless a guy is Extremely shy and uneasy with no-japanese people around, it’s not a strong excuse not to play at an high level… but

I can understand about the stick frustration… go from sanwa/seimitsu to happ is not that easy but i think Bata knew what they had in Mexico… I mean…if i go to a country i grab some information about all these things…wouldnt u do the same? :slight_smile: if u dont want to play in those known conditions (stics,people) why even “dare” to go there? …

Once again everyone look from a historical POV: Look at what Don King did to boxing and how he brought the hype to boxing by doing just what I am doing, bringing the hype to little known countries giving the “Little guy” the chance to take on the “Big Guy”.

What am I doing? Hyping up the little guy letting them know they CAN BEAT THE BIG GUY and giving them the exposure and opportunity to prove their worth! This is what Don King did for boxing and you notice how boxing isn’t the same with Don King gone!!

So yes compare me to Don King and you will see if you are keen enough EXACTLY what I am doing, I’m creating an OLYMPICS.

On that note another history lesson- What I am doing is how:

So if Americans choke at SBO, it’s because they’re not part of the Japanese master race. But when Japanese go outside of Japan and choke, it’s because it’s so unfair that they have to stand to be around lesser lifeforms outside of the golden barrier that protects Glorious Nippon.

Arcades suck. If you want to play comfortably…

play on console (as Keits would say, it’s the “NOW” thing to do), use stick of choice. Then when you DO LOSE…you won’t have as many excuses.

DG has done more for the snk community than ANYONE. That is FACT.

Guys we’re going to have A LOT OF SNK tournaments happening soon in the states. Some may be very close to your area. So hopefully some of yous can edge away from the computer screne and actually let your skillz do the talking for you.

Through my experience going to Japan and playing some of the top players in KOF the only way joining a tourny in Japan is to register 2 to3 weeks early or you can’t join at all and all the tournys are single elimination. If DG wants the mexicans to play top players then go to either HEY arcade,A-cho or versus city. The mexicans are gonna get slaughtered in Japan and if you don’t smoke I suggest you buy a mask or something cause the arcades are full of smoke.

We are gonna demand they install a Mexican stick when Abraham plus the chosen ones go to Japan to play KOF. When we go to play top players we are going to Tokyo and Osaka to play because we want top KOF players and nothing more. We are planning on doing something big with Duelling the KOF while we are there, since that is normally a Japan vs. Taiwan tournament this time it won’t be this time, more like Mexico vs. Japan vs. Tawian.

Wow I have to really have to get to a computer and really say somethings. But on the mean time DG is a lot easier to get visas from Mexico to Japan than it is from mex to USA. now the problem here is that there is no way on earth they will install an American stick in their arcade because:
