Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to Alabama today. I have notified the NeoBlood. Some stuff came up and I need to run an errand or two for my grandmother. I wanted to roll but this was unforseen. The delay in being able to leave combined with the fact that I have to be at work at 7am tomorrow means I should prolly stay back. I’ll get down there soon. It’s really not a bad drive.

Bishop, do you ever play Mahvel online for matchup experience? The netcode is ass, but you can get lucky and find a decent connection sometimes. I’m mainly asking because if you ever wanted to get some games in, I’m up for it.

Nah, I NEVER play online. It is just pointless to me. Mixups are unblockable and goodluck doing combos that aren’t ABCs. I also play on ps3 so apparently im even worse off.
Yeah, I understand, especially if you play on PS3. XBL isn’t too bad if you get connections from the same region. I’ve played Woot and Luis, and they both did Zero combos (well, when Luis isn’t lag switching himself) online.

The scary part is that there was another group to the right of the one in these pictures. We probably had 7 or 8 setups going that night with AE, MvC3, SSBM, 3S, and SC4.
Still a little confused about why there wasn’t a ranbat.

Squab pushed it back a week because most of the regulars couldn’t make it. He made a post about it. Two, I think.
Also, it was Squab’s choice whether or not to have a ranbat, and I’ll back up his decision to push it back. If it was the first one of the season I’d think differently, but he was wise to be respectful of the missing people who have otherwise made an effort to show up to every one so far. Besides, it’s not like people couldn’t do challenge matches.
Basically, what Duckie said. I made my decision on the premise of the great number of people that were unable to show up, who also, have been to every single one of them and shown support throughout. Which would also in turn affect the number of setups to run the Ranbat… If you noticed, we had 2 SF setups, and only ONE of them was an EVO monitor… Next week, bank on that place being filled…
But me not running one of the “rated” Ranbats doesn’t mean it’s stopping anyone from grabbing a piece of paper, tallying up the interest, and making a bracket if there’s enough people and setups…
I’m just doing the Ranbats and ratings to give people something to be competitive over, that’s all… Plus it’s decent tourney prep being in a 2/3 double elim situation consistently…
