TN Thread: Now hiring managers and shift leaders

I played in and got 3rd or 5th at South East Battles’ like… 9 man 3s tournament back in 2009. It was ShinBlanka, some really good Akuma and a bunch of the Georgia guys that hadn’t played in like 5 years. I started playing 3s like, 5 months after 4 came out. Urien to me is the most interesting character in the entire SF series. I’m still ass, but I just don’t have much experience because GGPO sucks and nobody plays. I’ve played Thomas from Knoxville a couple of times and he handed me my ass hardcore. Jacob Sparks in KY likes 3s, too. GGPO is the least newer player friendly community I’ve ever experienced. Nobody even pretends to be nice about it, and won’t even play with you half of the time. " hey man y u suck so bad? u should stop playing 4evr lol my chun is so gdlk did u see that low forward super? my skills pay the billz dawg "

BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLER. This is very important, regardless of whether you play on pad or stick, the controller that you use is YOUR responsibility.
Do your button checks before beginning the match, pausing during a game will result in the immediate forfeit of the round unless your opponent does not want the forfeit applied. Note that pausing during an Ultra animation in Street Fighter 4 will also cost you the round unless the Ultra kills the opponent.

Tournament organizers also reserve the right to cancel any tournaments with less than 8 players. In this situation, your entry fee will be refunded to you.

Bring your A game. Hope to see you there!

Ok, fight night crew, I’m going to need help on setups here, if all the regulars bring their evo setups we should be golden. Of course I will be waiving venue fee for all setups we run the tourney on. Post up here and let me know if you can bring one. Further note, I want to do a Tekken tourney, but that requires at least 2 setups. I will try and get in touch with Lil Majin and see if his crew can bring a couple of PS3 consoles+game and we can use a few of our monitors to run Tekken on those. Tekken plays quickly so we should be able to knock it out.

The venue has a gaming area already set up in the front of their store with about 8 360 setups, and casuals can probably be played on those throughout the day, but be warned their screens have a touch of lag.

That fucking lunchablez ad, I think I laughed until I cried.

Yeah, I cried. bwahhaha

I agree the 3s GGPO community is not very new player friendly. Shawn got my into playing 3s last year. I have been playing it off and on but mainly i play ST. The GGPO community for the most part are a bunch of douches but there are still a couple that are willing to help but they are a rare find. I play with Thomas whenever he asks but he hasnt been in the mood to play in a while.

I’ll be playing 3S when it comes out this month on XBL. Looking forward to using a grappler with parry abilities. lol

I’ll be playing ST on ggpo when my internet gets hooked up this weekend. as well as AE on live

You play Urien Arson? That’s who I’m trying to learn. COINCIDENCE!?!?

3ds price drop lol, shitt that thing must be doing bad. Its 169 now, down from 249. Also, getting internet back means I can actually practice AE online with you dudes again.

This is me right now

Hey richard, although he can be an ass at times, look for cigarbob on ST. One of his main characters is gief so he can give you advice here and there. Also, don’t feed the trolls on ggpo.

^BAHAHAHAHA oh my god that fuccen goat

No, he’s like the Viper of charge characters, if you had to plan combos and set ups around the rest of the cast, which you do with Urien. Luckily Urien gets more effective against the best characters… Chun being the easiest to combo in the game. I can finally do charge partitioning and tackle tackle headbutt… I just don’t have absolutely any match up experience except for Akuma which is the gayest shit ever.

Is there still a tourney at GG this saturday? What all is beeing played and what time does it start?

GG’s to Sev and Rukus today, fun stuff.
