TN Thread: Now hiring managers and shift leaders

Really though in ST its safe jumpable. It was his stupid good normals that made his turtle power over 9000.

Yeah SF ranbat is tomorrow.

Speaking of which, you guys like pizza…right?

I work at Domino’s, and I might be able to hook us up…

We are talking about Vega overall not just his wake-up. Vega in ST is godlike in SF4 he is okay…

you sir are awesome make this happen

Right, it was his normals and dive that made him good. Is vega in IV really that bad?

Head’s up, you can’t really bring outside food into Hastings. I know it already goes on, ppl bringing a burger or something, and they turn a blind eye to that. But bringing a pizza is going to result in them asking you to not bring it in, and I really want to stay on their good side, since they are letting us use their store as a gathering site. It’s just a courtesy, you know?

Maybe you can bring it afterward and we can eat it in the parking lot or something, but do not bring it into Hastings. Thanks.

Vega in IV has really good footsies but his wakeups are a problem. The EX Flip Kick works better as a reversal anyway but you have to guess with it.

There are more than two Vega players in TN, just not “dedicated” Vega players…

GG to. Chris and. Guys player…

Fuerte Is. Just raNdom fun

I won’t be able to make it to fiight night tomorrow so I’ll be missing the SF ranbat.

His normals in IV aren’t too bad, although cr. mp does less damage and cr. mk is faster in AE mp’s still his best poke. Many, many characters have been able to out-poke him with ease since Super. Cosmic Heel has more recovery on block so you have to judge spacing even more than you already did. He can get poked on his way up for a wall dive. Ex-Barcelona vs jab = -1 super bar. Ultra startup vs jab = - revenge meter. Backflips are EXTREMELY risky. His air game is defeated by lazy jump back lights most of the time unless you can anticipated. Pretty much every time you press a button with him it’s a guess. I’d be a bit happier with the ability to FADC the ST. But only a bit…

None of his links are more than 2 frames and they aren’t even that damaging when you pull them off. His hardest hitting combo with no meter is jump in fierce, close standing fierce, roundhouse. Fierce to roundhouse being a 2 frame link if i’m not mistaken…

I will admit he’s not a horrible character in IV, he’s just way more difficult to use than he used to be and more difficult than most of the rest of the cast. Meh I’ll continue to use him. But I’ve lost my passion for it with the weird decision Capcom keeps making for him with each iteration. I just kinda need to get that off my chest because several Memphis players apparently think AE Vega is godlike because there were some Claws beating people at EVO who probably didn’t know you could walk up and throw his backflip.

Perhaps I’ll be happier with the revisions in

I won’t hold my breath. they’ll probably make it so vega starts without his claw and has to pick it up from the middle of the screen like cody’s knife

Read: Jason, please view this thread and become enraged.

GGs to Eugene and Richard (I am pretty sure that’s all I played). I’ve always felt Fuerte was an underrated character, but he is just silly in this game. While I wish Eugene would play Fei and Seth (now that we’ve seen how retarded he is) sometime, I am glad we have a Fuerte now, just for the matchup experience.

But seriously Eugene, play Fei and Seth sometimes. I promise you’ll be able to troll just as well and incite just as much rage.

I approve

He’s definitely not horrible. I think he’s really easy to use, if you have solid funadmentals/understanding of the game. Easy to use doesn’t mean easy to win with, but yeah… No execution really, all spacing, reads, and reactions. I think they need to re-buff mp damage and make his rh have more of a bison style hitbox. Otherwise I think he’s fairly solid. He got the new combo that does stupid damage which is nice, but it’s rare to hit.

Yeah, Believe me, Vega can be won with using JUST normals. Not saying it is easy, but his crouching Jab and Strong PUNISH faster than almost anyone in the game and those are BASIC moves. Stand MK is nasty still. Jumping neutral MK is nasty, his air throw is nasty, etc. I swear I can punish things I normally can not punish with other characters using Vega.

And…Vega does VERY well against Fei Long. I would even go as far as saying he counters Fei to a point.

No internet at home sucks. Good games to Coth on our 50 set in ST. I would love to get better at that game. So fun.

'Tis all good. I’m not even sure if I can hook us up until tomorrow anyways.

In other news: Is there a better character for assist pressure than Trish that could work well with Wolverine and Taskmaster? I love Trish’s playstyle and technique, but I can’t seem to do any decent mix-ups or combo expansions with her. I heard that her Max Voltage can OTG in UMvC3. That makes me happy as hell…

Yeah ST was fun. Fighting eugene’s fei was not.

Inside of 50 fights you started to get some spds going so that was a good shit.

Not really. Just not godlike. Like Jason said, It is all in his footsies and his strong poke game that makes him do well in SF4. His major downfall in this game comes from poor wake-up options.

I knew there was atleast 3. I had heard about a memphis guy (Rukus), Then there is me, and I am not sure Arson still plays Vega but he knows alot about his matchups and has helped me in the past. I honestly have given up learning other characters for the purpose of a main and stuck with what works for me and that is Vega. Yang really is not working out for me.
