While graphf is probably exagerating, he is kinda right. Fireballs are really weak in this game. Small hitboxes on the attacks themselves, focus attacks, plenty of stuff goes through fireballs, divekicks. It wouldn’t hurt for fireballs to get buffed some. Is there a character in this game that loses because your character has a fireball, and akuma air hado doesn’t count.

Uh… Yes? Bison V. Guile. Actually, Guile’s good match-ups are because of sonic boom… Sagat beats Guile solely because of his fireball being better… Sagat vs. Bison, Gief, Honda, Ryu, etc… Hell, the reason the Japanese consider Ryu decent against Yun is because of fireballs. I think he needs to reverted back to his Super incarnation. He was perfect just like that. The only character that desperately needs a fireball buff is Oni. I think if Oni could zone like Ryu he’d be a great character… Evil Ryu needs… I don’t even know what. Man that character sucks.
Yeah, if they are played right. Valle’s Ryu in evo was really good, ESPECIALLY with his fireball game.
I honestly am happy with Vega. The only thing i can bitch about him is wanting back the small amount of damage back they nerfed on his wall dives. They could keep him the same for all i care. I feel comfortable with Vega. It is bad when i am more comfortable with Vega than Yang. My Vega has a better win ratio and also i feel more in control of him. Like i said i can live with AE Vega just wish i knew some tech against Yun is all.
All this talk about super makes me almost want to start playing it again. Tf2 is too much fun right now though, also Rusty Hearts has been treating me pretty well too. Oh yeah, taking Marvel 3 seriously is good times too. Debating whether or not I want to make the trip out to Antioch for Milln’s gathering.
I just wish that in one of the 5 kajillion iterations of this game, they would give Vega a viable wake up option. If gets knocked down, there’s little to nothing he can do. Also jump back lp or lk have been 9-1 against wall dive for nearly ever character since Vanilla.

Ex ST is a decent wake up tool. They did boost it for Vega to have as a wake-up reversal. It still gets the shit stuffed out of it but atleast he kinda has one now.

Ya I’d like Ryu to be just where he was but with his trades into ultra back but no roflcopter again, with his shortcut wakeup SRK getting a knock down on him with some characters barely meant anything and cornering him meant absolutely nothing.
meh against people who are used to fighting characters with light shoryukens and people that can spam jabs over your knocked down body, it’s useless, it can pretty much only be used against late jump ins

Yeah I have heard that one too. I just personally liked the little guy who sort of looks like Dauby from Harry Potter or Smeagol from The Lord Of The Rings.

He does get to rekka for free. The first one is on the house. The second one can be punished by some characters and the third can be by everyone.
