I vaguely remember the inputs were weird, like a lot of button-motion-hitbutton again stuff, but its kinda foggy in my memory. Also, didn’t it have a lot of inputs in which you actually used u, or u/b?
reminds me of primal rage inputs
Oh man… that party was stupid fun. If only I could remember half of it. Good games to everyone I played last night except Jas and Squab. Fuck yall. lol
I want to play Weaponlord again.
Fighting games, now with 83% more little girls!
Why am I not surprised at the new SC5 character…
Regardless, SC5 is looking good so far.
Meh.
Hiryu, yeah, a lot of moves had U/B and U/F as BEGINNING points on specials…lots of stuff started and stopped at weird angles…

Andrew, you left your stick at my place. I’m holding it ransom until you can do C. Vipers infinite in marvel with a calculator.
Thanks.
That stick made a nice phone cradle for me, thanks
There’s no question that Noah kid is seriously good, especially considering his age. He’s already showing some great decision-making skills.
Why does the Tekken player Reepai lick the controller before he plays every round?
tastes good man
That works
Found a good article about it, actually.
After you go through it let me know if their research was accurate.
Hiryu, it sounds like they reviewed it correctly but not from a hardcore player’s standpoint…the game is not bad by any means but like a lot of fighting games there is a lot of “broken” stuff in it but not many people can do those things. I know the cross up were insane, continuation combos were nuts and it was well ahead of its time (parry system) but arcade were still viable and as a new series hardcore players were not enough to make that game be a great seller…the game is fun and deep; can’t say Winstead and Goddard didn’t put work into it.
I agree with that, but it just shows how random the game is. No disrespect to the kid, but yeah, it’s just funny is all.
Anyway I had a good time at Jas’s place, Tekken commentary was hilarious as usual. GGs to everyone I played as well, especially Majin, learned a lot about GG in just the short session that we had, I was getting hit by so many mixups I didn’t even know existed.
I think multiple factors lead to him getting that far in EVO.

[]Hulk. No one knows how to fight a competent Hulk until they’ve played one for a few matches. The huge range and super armor on several moves throws the average player off a bit. Even Chris G (who eventually knocked him out of the tournament) was surprised to lose nearly two characters in their first match.
[]Luck with brackets. The matches that I watched him play on the stream were usually tier-whoring nobodies who lacked experience. They let him get away with too many blocked S’s, and they wouldn’t break his obvious up exchanges.
[]Smart decision-making. While his weakness was autopiloting strings and combos, he made some very smart decisions in his matches. Punishing or dodging supers with Gamma Crush, using XF to kill a threatening character, empty jumping into grabs, etc.
[]Underestimation. It’s very possible that his early opponents simply underestimated him. If they just messed around at the beginning of the match and made one mistake, it’s possible Hulk killed a character in one combo. By the time they woke up, it was too late.

I think he has a bright future too. Another three or four years and he should be making top 8 in whatever game he focuses on.
He plays AE too, I saw him running Dictator on the NCR stream. I don’t think he got very far though.
