Have you ever been to a fight night? And are fighting games the only ones being played??
I’m not trying to knock what you guys are doing not at all people hosting fight nights is a good thing that being said
-May I ask who is in your group that plays? I know I have been playing in town pretty heavily for 4 years and know most of the people from here that play and travel for events
-Please keep in mind that the current Wed fight night is already established and has anywhere from 10-25 “regulars” that come out. We are about to start the ranbat seasons up for AE/KOF/Tek6 at least two of which are slated for payouts having multiple events on the same night only waters down the player base
-Regarding travel this is a great hobby but not enough people really play to not have to travel some if you want to have a lot of people show up and play the better people in the area. I mean now the fight night is in Southaven but it didn’t start here we were on Gtown road for 2+ years at two different locations and the upper MS people had to drive out there weekly as well
Just some things to consider overall; I think turnouts would be better if we are not on the same night but if thats the night that works for you then aight

@ Maxninja: You’re coming along well man. I was trying to see how you looked and you got nice defense and spacing. Your offense is cool too, it works. I can show you some more damaging and easy combos, followups, wallcarries and setups. We’ll definitely get more games in. In the meantime, keep doing what you’re doing and building on that. If you come across D-Wreck, get with him because he knows everything Asuka.
@ Josh: This dude! Lol see how cartwheel opens up her whole game? Options and mixups bro. Also, please get you a copy back. I think The Goodwill is giving them away now. You have nice reactions and for as many launchers as you hit, if you learn and practice the proper combos and followups, it’d be death. I’m serious man. Get your shit down. I wouldn’t care as much if you were just on the screen doing shit, but I see you mixing up and the actual thought process behind what you were trying to do, so if you get that opportunity I want you to follow through to the fullest. Lil Mel doesn’t like Tekken anymore but he’s still a monster with Lili. If he comes to another FN, tell him no Skullgirls or KoF until he gives you all of his blonde bitch tech. I might mess with her sometime this week to be able to tell or show you some stuff.
@ Abe: Good shit. I’m impressed man. Because of the work you put in on your own and the knowledge you soaked up. I know what it looks like, but I HAD to play you for real. Because you’re ready to get integrated into the big leagues. You got your combos(dmg omg!), followups, and “for now” mixups down, and can see (mostly) what you have to do to adapt to the styles in the matchups. Now it’s just all about you getting your ass beat until you’re forced to formulate and react accordingly. I’m going to be playing you regularly and giving you exp. I want you to that point where you’re battling Sev and then I want both of you guys SERIOUSLY coming for me. No one else. Other peeps, just play them, wreck them(hopefully), get the exp, then get right back at it. Because when TTT2 drops, I’m going to be the guy everyone is going to have to get around anyway. This goes for Rell and Marcus too. No asses are exempt from my incoming wrath.
@ Adrian: Umm…yea. Hating ass stopping streaks lol. Good shit as always man. The guy who barely plays the game yet knows his character and has beaten everyone, EVERYONE, before. You know you like the game, love it even. Quit being difficult and fully pledge your heart to the Tekken gods. I know you “like” Alisa ($20 sf x t chara, just saying), but I know deep down that you crave the soul of Potemkin. I know you want to caress Jack-6. Spend 4 minutes (thats all it takes for his tool ass) learning him now and getting matches. Then when TTT2 drops, you’ll already have Scrap Metal Team on deck and a good feel for both. Anyway, yea… just “officially” play the game and quit being a dick. That’s like me actually being super solid and beating people in Skullgirls then saying, “All I like is how her titties look when she do that one move. With this color outfit. On this stage. On 2p side.”

I am all about having multiple fight night’s here in Memphis!!! It would be better to do them on a seperate day, but these are 2 different businesses so its really up to them!

We’re currently discussing the dates and we will keep you updated on the final decision. We’re open to all suggestions because we want to give our gamers what they want. We’ll have FPS and we love taking suggestions for any other games that want to be played. We really value you guys inputs and we want to keep our gaming community happy by giving them what they want. As far as fight nights a few members in our group have been to a few fight nights, uas traveled to tournaments in the past, but not recently. Please, keep the comments coming!

On Sev’s note, I strongly agree. I am curious as to who exactly you folks are. Usually if you seriously play fgs in memphis, someone knows who you are. Also i do agree that it would be mutually beneficial to reconsider rescheduling your night. We are already established and this would minimize fracturing the playerbase. Not to mention as a courtesy to the current scene.
We gonna go up there and see a bunch of dudes playing COD and drinking Mountain Dew. I can’t play Tek in such an environment it’s just not right.
OK so that king thing was alright but it didn’t really deal with the main issue in the match. Her running the duck away and not having it just look like a Bennie hill sketch.
On a more conciliatory note. I am open to meeting new players and growing the scene. Hopefully we can come to a schedule that works for everyone.
