And on one hand: I’m really glad that The Darkness 2 was announced (I loved the first one), but I’m sad that it’s not about Charlie Murphy.
Stick to basics, don’t try to play fancy. Adapting to opponents is a key part of playing SF. Instead of focusing on your own play, focus on what your opponent is doing. Play safe until you are sure of what your opponent is going to do.

I don’t know how often you play offline, but I just couldn’y take Online any longer. I stopped back in Vanilla days when I literally saw it hurt my game!
But yes, no fancy stuff. One thing that did help my game out, was go back to the basics. BnB’s and hard punishers. Learned my normals, again, with my character. It;s hard to explain but I made myself go play other characters that would help my overall game! I used “crutches” alot but not so much anymore. When I decided to go back to my main, I leveled up my overall game!

Recently I’ve only been playing offline with a guy that I generally win like 80% of the time against. He lets me do basically anything I want and I can get away with murder. I.E. making my game worse. Been playing with him for about a month now. Nothing against him, he’s cool to hang around with, but I last week I stopped playing SSFIV with him and started playing things like Tatsunoko, Vampire Savior, and Alpha 3 with him.
To help with normals, use someone like Guile.
To learn to value health, use Seth or Akuma.
To help with execution, use someone with a combination of easy / hard links.

Just use a combination of various characters … you’d be surprised what you can learn from playing a different character for a week… This also helps you play AGAINST that said character, because you will be learning their spacing and options, thus giving you the knowledge to defend against it with your main…
If you wanna be better than alot of people pick Bison and spam mk, devil reverse, and EX psycho crusher.
Juri is dumb. Nobody can tell you who to play, but I would never suggest to anyone to play Juri as a main. The only reason Ed Ma wins with her is because he comes up with all of his own gimmicks and only breaks her out in tournaments, and he’s ga-liek. She is just simply badly designed in my opinion. On top of that, she’s annoying and no fun to fight.
