At one point, we had a location in the mall, and Dave complained that the machines in New GameGalaxy would take away from their business. They only have like 3 machines on location at their other location in KY. So long story short, after running machines over there like crazy, getting setup, and making a name in the area as a Retro/Current game store and Arcade combo, this big guy right here got to help lug everything back to the Antioch location to a storage unit, and most of the machines have been there since just chillin. (Which is sad, because I miss me some Holoseum)
Now the Dave place might not open/won’t open who knows, its all up in the air. The thing is, Game Galaxy could have had time to chill, run out their lease even, then be out if Dave would have kept his mouth shut and had been cool about it.
But welp, you can’t predict these things. All I know is, I still miss Rivergate for many reasons. The place owned, it was large, busier than Antioch most of the time, and was closer to my house

Double fart post edit: Yeah, the area they are looking at is a shopping center outside of the mall, in the same plot of land, but not in the mall, maybe because of the last experience there I dunno.
I placed fourth today in a Nashville tournament and gdbell beats a top-ranked Memphis player.

Best part about today: Making Richard ragequit MvC3. Here’s how it happened:

Me: busts out Dark Phoenix, activates level 3 x-factor, and takes out all three of Richard’s characters in less than ten seconds.

Worst part about today: Got a fucking speeding ticket 100 miles away from home from a highway patrolman that was riding my ass and forcing me to speed up.
Weirdest part about today: saw a church on route 69. I wonder how good their service is. >.>

With them using the newspaper I think this is just publicity to get other possible investors interested. I especially think so with the line about extra business due to Opry Mills flooding. They most likely thought this was the only way to find any. But Richard is right if they would have let time work things out instead of hauling machines to storage he’d be moving them to the new place outside of the mall. Now they have him doing double duty.
It is funny how that happens to be the last line of the article. I wish I knew more about the local stuff in Nashville so I could make a coherent comment but also it’s 6:41 AM so yeah. Hope all those things come together.
Also, I’m driving through Nashville today and was planning to stop by GG. I’m guessing it will be around 1 PM or so and I can stay a couple of hours :woot:

LOL, I was trying to tell people that is who I played in the GameStop Round 3 Tourney in the finals like 2 years ago and not ONE Memphis player here knew who he was but now he’s an old school Fun Fair guy? Goodness, well, glad he’s out here playing, always need arcade support…

ok so, mboro people, midnight marvel release, has it been decided whats going on? do we know if the walmart near mtsu is doing the tournament/what the prize is for the gamestop tourney? I remember John saying that his store is doing a tournament with no prize at all.
