Bleh… People are going to bitch about anything that comes out. I bitch about Marvel a bit but it’s just venting because it is damn frustrating. I still prefer SF but Marvel is a buttload of fun. Even BlazBlue players do nothing but bitch about Blazblue. I don’t get it. Maybe it is just cool to hate on things. Just kidding, it’s not a maybe.

LOL @ Spread gun. You obviously are not abusing the Laser, by far the best weapon. I have beat the shit out of Hard Corps but can only get to level 7 on arcade mode before it becomes too much. Hard Corps online is great on XBL. I’ll play it with anyone who is interested. It’s a great game. I’m guessing Mike still doesn’t have a 360 LOL.
Regarding Marvel, Jason said this game is for fun and never meant for tourney play. I agree. Not sure why people are flipping out about it. It is what it is.
Because shoryuken, and all the local scenes are hyping up tournaments for it and making everyone want it to be a competitive fighting game.
Not sure why it’s not meant for tourney play, seems like almost all of the characters are tourney viable and it’s stupidly fun. I hate the argument of, “oh man it’s so dumb but I really have fun with it”, if you have fun with it than just play it and have fun, if you don’t then shut up and let the people that do have their fun.

Some characters seem alot better than they really are, if you remember all the hype C. Viper got until people realized how mediocre she was compared to the rest of the cast in vanilla.
I think some of characters that are overrated are Sentinel (I dunno about now), Phoenix, Wolverine, Spencer, and Wesker.
I think deadpool is really underrated, real talk.

I could maybe agree with Spencer and Wesker on that one but Sent, Phoenix, and Wolverine are all great, hell I’d say Wolverine is the deadliest character on that list. Also yes, Deadpool is severely underrated, I hate him so much.
And even though say Viewtiful Joe is probably going to never be as good as say Taskmaster or Shulk he can still do fine in tourneys and has a chance to win, again maybe not as some of the guys at the top but he’s still good.

But Marvel 2 wasn’t a competitve game either. That game was easy mode just the same as the third game. If you take out infinites, there was nothing that took a lot of practice, you just could just test things to make teams work. I am far from being an execution wizard but I played with pretty much everyone Marvel 2’s cast and nearly all air combos work the same after you figure out what the launch is. That’s no different from this Marvel 3. So if it was not “easy mode” everyone would love the game and praise it for being balanced? GTFO.
This is seriously a lot of complaining about nothing. I said when I first saw videos I that it would be fun but that I personally would never take it really seriously (that’s before X factor was even mentioned). I’m not suggesting people drop the game, but what do you expect from the Vs series? What suggest that everything will be “balanced” , “fair” ? You should come in expecting fun. After that, I don’t know what to tell you.
