i wanted to get some opinions from the dante players to see what they think

@Crimson Cobra: Out of those I’d probably say Ryu just because he runs a better keepaway than Dante does in my opinion. However, if you want to run Dante I’d switch Arthur to his dagger toss assist because it is great for covering Dante’s teleport and helping him get in.

It works with pretty much everyone with the exception of a few characters who :s: won’t reach him, and yes his teleport is hella unsafe. That’s why when you play Dante you pick assist that fire projectiles so you use them to cover your teleports.

well who would fit better with the team and benefit it
or both ways(he benefits the team and the team benefits him)

like shine said, put in dante and switch arthur assist to dagger toss. as long as you have arthur on point, he benefits greatly from jam session, because it shuts down superjump attempts from opponents try to get in on arthur. as soon as you have dante in, you can switch from keep away to rushdown with dante and dagger toss assist. imo this is a nice team and would work pretty good.

Everything works pretty well for this team but what order would you suggest for it

Wesker is my battery but who should go second, Dorm or Dante?

i’d say it’s just personal preference. either dormammu and dante are really good anchors, so just go second with the one you like more on point.

I currently have a team of Wesker B, Dante A/Y and I am looking for a third character. I have not found someone who was able to the complete the role as a great assist and anchor. I was wondering if someone can list potential 3rd members that can fit my team.

For the above question, I honestly feel like Dormammu should be your anchor. He can benefit a lot from Level 3 XF with QCB+AA super. I seen people lose matches because Dormammu beat the 2nd character, was already in Level 3 XF and bam two or three supers chipped to death. Not only that, you are much faster making your rush down potential very scary with tri-jump S. I don’t play as him or know him that much, but just my opinion.

what kind of assist are you looking for? should i help you getting in, or keeping offense going when you are already in? covering teleport mixups for wesker and dante? i usually play akuma or ammy 3rd, depending on the team i play. both, tatsu and cold star are pretty good assists and both of them are good anchors. more suggestions could be doom (beam/missiles) or dormammu (black hole).

I want an assist for something offensive, either to keep me in, covering my teleport, or help keep them grounded.

I tried Akuma B and Taskmaster A. Don’t like Akuma as an anchor but I find Taskmaster as a weird assist but a good anchor. If anyone can prove me wrong that Taskmaster is a great assist for my team that’ll be great.

I have considered Doom, and Trish for now. I ain’t leaning towards Dormammu since I feel black-hole feels a bit too localized for my taste. I was wondering if there any other viable options beside the ones listed.

my team right now is dante, wesker, and sentinel

whole team is based around one-touching characters with dante and then DHC tricking to wesker to kill them.

i can do million damage at the overall cost of 1 meter. i have to work on doing more damage with dante cause it’s pretty easy to cap with wesker by the looks of it

if i can do a million damage at the cost of 0 meter (you always have to have 1 meter on hand before though to DHC trick) then great.

otherwise, dante kills whoever he touches, and wesker and sentinel can pretty much handle themselves, especially with spare meter and x-factor.

plus dante can play a really lame game if he needs to and sentinel force works for both upclose and locking down that bottom portion of the screen.

Jam Session is definitely one of the best moves in the game.

he has little trouble getting in and worst case scenario can handle himself well in a projectile fight, you force someone to make a gamble and you air trick. once you’re in there you call assists and it’s pretty hard for them to get you off without doing something risky

idk in practice it seems like a hella strong team but i haven’t been able to get in there and fight ppl yet. not going online cause i’m not retarded

What do people think of Dante / Storm combo? I’m trying to run it but I can’t find a good third.

since MVC came out the only person who has not been switched out of my team at some point is Dante. i build my team around him and who he works well with. Now i have a Constant Team consisting of Dante on point, Iron man as Anchor and either: Spencer, Wesker or Zero. My reason for Picking Iron man as a constant is pretty simple. Dante NEEDS a full screen beam assist to cover his teleport and i do use the teleport quite a lot. Notable beam assists in this game are: Magneto (Disruptor), Dr Doom(Plasma Beam) and of course Iron Man (UniBeam). i tried out magneto and dr doom with my dante but i was not comfortable with their assist because their beams knock the opponent in the air leading to a knockdown and i find it hard to continue my preferred combo on airborne characters. i would rather have my opponent still standing for me to continue my normal BnB combo after the teleport for some good damage. Dante is definitely one of the best characters in this game and you can watch Ten good dante’s fight with totally different play styles and BnB combo variations. Spencer (Bionic Arm = godlyk) is good because if my dante happens to die he also benefits from the iron man assist and i can hold my ground with him with his grapple and command throw combo starters. Zero because…well…if uve ever fought a good zero u know why i use him lol…and wesker cuz he does Good damage, his samurai assist is really good for continuing combos and he’s simply too BadAss to ignore :slight_smile:
Sentinel’s assist is also a really good full screen assist. But i just choose not to use sentinel

Currently started running a rushdown team of Dante (weasel shot)/ Wesker (otg)/ Amy (cold star). There’s not enough competition around my way to really say how effective it is and online is very inconsistant do to lag and dropped inputs. I can say its fun to play, its got DHC glitch combos going for it ,and seems to keep pressure on quite well. Dante and Wesker swap point every now and then. I’m still practicing with my scrubby Amaterasu but she can hold her own at point or as anchor.

If anyone has any tips, tricks, comments or suggestions on the team please share. I’m getting ready to try a couple local tourneys this month and wanna have this team ready for them.

I have been playing Storm / Dante / Akuma pretty much since the game came out, and this team is super solid IMO

Storm is great at opening people up when backed by Akuma. He fills in the gaps in your attackstrings perfectly, gives easy combos and locks them down for ioh/trijump spam. If you get them to block akuma in the corner thats basicly a free hit. And ofc she DHC tricks easily to dante for 1hitkills all over the place.

Add to this a great zoning game (where dante jam session helps) and one of the best assist punishers in the game shes a great starter. Imo Dante is at his best when he has a head start and the opponent has to come to you (aka run into your bs normals), and Storm gives him that most of the time.

Akuma dosent really help Dante that much, but it makes his pressure game a little tighter, and gives you decent lockdown in the corner. Storm assist is decent with teleport aswell when your close to the corner, plus can help keep ppl off you if you want to zone.

And akuma is just too good in the 3d slot, with lvl3 xf and lots of bar, hes VERY hard to deal with, and if its 1v1 you have practicly won unless your up against DP haha.

Pretty random post but its a great team imo. If you dont want Akuma, Tron is great for a third. Shes pretty boring on point tho, and can get zoned easily in a 1v1 situation.

Hey all I’m playing the wesker/dante/kume’s team mentioned earlier(previously doom instead of dante) and now I’m finding myself a bit lost on which assist to plug into dante. I used doom before for full screen cover for wesker and akuma, but weasel shot doesn’t QUITE connect at full screen where most people want to keep wesker. On the flip side its a good low #hitting assist that keeps them standing just in case it random connects for a full combo. It would also support akuma a little more on his own advance although he can still go slow behind jam session. How good v proj is it anyway? On the other hand Jam Session helps out with the overall weakness to jump ins and in the corner is probably the better choice.

Any thoughts? Or is this a matchup dependant kinda thing. Weasel for zoners and Jam for aggressors.

Dante and Wesker

I’ve been using Dante and Wesker since the game came out, and I’ve switched around the third character a lot. I’m running samurai edge with Wesker and Jam Session with Dante. Can anybody help me to choose a quality 3rd character that will DHC and hopefully have some type of interference assist such as a beam or projectile?

Can i get some feedback on my team?

I dont think i see any synergy in that team like, what are you aiming with that team, maybe Im missing something, could you go a bit more indepth about how your team works?

Ive been trying Dante/Wolverine, they work extremely good together, but Ive always wondered whats better, either jam session or weasel shot as an assist. my 3rd char is Magneto with disruptor assist.
