Im working on Dante (Jam) Skrull (Tenderizer) and Doom (Missiles/rocks).
Ive found some early synergy between Dante and Skrull. For starters, Jam session really makes Skrull launch combos much nastier as well as some insurance against the accidental triple-tap which will bring out tenderizer (which is VERY unsafe in the air otherwise). Tenderizer is a good all around get off me assist, but Im gonna lab it up with O. Grudge to see if Dante can get any mileage out of that. Doom rocks and Missiles are good for both characters, but I find myself leaning toward missiles ATM.
They also have what I think is one of the few truly viable Level 3 DHC setups in the game. Skrull’s Level Three will combo clean off of Million Dollar from full screen. I have only ever seen this whiff against Ammy, Joe and Arthur and even then only if your lead-in combo didn’t get them off the ground at all (which is rare). Against the rest of the cast this is utterly bulletproof once you land the combo of your choosing. 4 meter is a bit steep, but even a simple launch combo leading in to this will net you 900, with his longer combos getting 1000+ and with X-factor this will easily break 1200. If you have the meter to burn this will kill most of the cast outright without X-factor and is VERY easy. ANY of Dante’s million dollar combos will work for this. Doom as a battery comes in handy to make this possible.
For more meter-practical DHC solutions, Skrull’s torch will hit clean but not for full damage but from full screen off of million dollar. There aren’t many characters who can land a non-projectile DHC from Dante outside the corner, and Skrull’s got 2 of them. The corner also lets you bring him in safe with inferno, and that one will net you an easy 650-700 depending on lead in. Again for the torch full-screen and inferno in the corner, any of Dante’s million dollar combos will work.
I’m still not too great with making high combo chains, but I’m falling in love with C. Viper (Still toying with assists) / Zero (Hirangeki) / Dante (Jam Session). I use the other two to rack up the damage, then drop in Dante mid combat as a sweeper. Also, Viper’s rushing hyper combo is great when you call it in after a failed Million Dollars. A lot of the time, I can connect with it because my opponent tried to rush Dante. Plus, it lines up another hyper combo with Zero, who otherwise can’t come in off of Dante. Definitely a fun aggressive team.
I’ve been running Wesker(Samurai Edge Low)/Dante(Jam Session)/Dormammu(Dark Hole). I’ve been thinking about switching out Dorm for someone faster with a horizontal projectile like Iron Man/Doom/Mag. While I like Dormammu he’s not a fast as I like plus I’m not too sure about how well Dark Hole can cover Dante.
Aside from Sent, who could I team up with Wesker/Dante that can play a good keepaway(with a bit of RTSD) and cover Dante?
Currently running team 3D - Dante (jam session) as starting pitcher, Dormammu as middle relief(blackhole), Deadpool as the closer if it comes to it(trigger happy). The only person Im still iffy on is Dormammu. While he is a great change of pace, Im really digging Wolverine, Super Skrull, and Taskmaster. Just cant decide whether or not to go full on aggressive or have the change up in there.
I also main this team with Wesker upfront as battery and Dorm as the anchor and have been feeling the same way for a while. I know Sentinel is the go to because the mixup that is created is just too good and it locks them down but I hate playing that robot and the Dark Hole isn’t nearly as useful for this. If you find anything I’d love to know. I may try Doom instead of Dorm at some point but I’m not sure yet.
I’ve been running Wolverine(berzerker slash), Dante(jam session), Ryu(tatsu). My combos are still pretty ass, so the DHC ability of this team is helping me out quite a bit.
I’m using Dante(Jam Session)/ X-23(Ankle Slice) / Dead Pool(Quick Work). I like the team a lot, but it feels like I’m missing sometimes. I’m thinking of trying out Wesker for either x-23 or Deadpool soon though.
As of right now i have three dante based teams…i wanted to ask you guys which one you think was better? i really like the chun dante combo cause of the rush down abilities. i just need a good point. HELP PLEASE lol

I think I’m gonna have Dante(jam session), Akuma (tatsumaki) and I need one more character. Who do you think is the best choice for my third? I was thinking of zero, trish,wolverine,ammy, spiderman…Im not sure who would make the best choice. Don’t want to main sent.
I’ve been trying out Tron (B) / Dante (A) / Sentinel (A). Not sure if I want to run with Tron or Dante on point - both are good at building meter and spending meter when they connect, so it might be matchup dependent. The team DHC’s fine and the assists work out pretty well as both defensive and offensive options.
Right now I’m using Dante(Jam Session)/Trish(hopscotch)/akuma(Dive kick).
I’m thinking of switching out trish or akuma for amaterasu for her cold star projectiles assist. I feel like I need an assist to help lock my opponent down and get my offense started with dante. any advice?
right now im running Dante/Ammy/Trish or DAT team as i like to call it i sometimes switch ammy and trish so i can dhc million dollars with her round trip super then super jump and knock down or dhc again with ammy
im trying to figure our a way to use dante’s crystal assist to further trish’s combos
i have dante with crystal, trish using low voltage so i can call her out and teleport, and ammy using coldstar
but they all have good dhc’s
i also want to point out something that has happened in a few of my matches i would call out my assist (ammy) and the opponent would be underneath him right out of reach of coldstar but attacking me, i advance guard pushing him into the blast landing me a free combo has this happened to anyone else?
edit: in the corner if you use trish’s high voltage super in the air you can dhc into ammys level 3
My personal team problem is as follows:
I currently use either;
Dante, Dormammu, X23 or
Dante, Dormammu, Taskmaster.
Now the problem is this: when I use team 1 I never have the capability to protect Dante with any sort of assist or really help with his rush down. Both Dorm’ and X23 have terrible assists. But I can play well with all three characters regardless.
Team two on the other hand has Task’s arrow assist which helps a huge amount in playing with Dante’s teleport and pressure. Problem here is Taskmaster has so much trouble setting up combos that he feels useless when he comes out and I can rarely defend with him.
So should I stick with x23, spend loads more time practicing task or give up and choose a new third character, and if so… Who?!
Oh, and before you say it. I refuse to use Sentinel. xD

Hey guys, I’ve recently been running Dante/Deadpool/Sentinel, but my Deadpool’s not very good and I’m having trouble figuring out how to work him more solidly/compete with rushdown.
So I’m thinking of switching him out, who else would work well with Dante and Sentinel? Dante/Sent are both locks, I’ve put in time with each and they’re a lot of fun, just need to figure out a good third. Someone with a neat assist that will help, too, if possible. Are Wolverine/Wesker/Akuma possibilities? Thanks, Shoryuken.
Wolverine’s great for rush down.
Akuma is too. And his tatsu assist is pretty godly.
Taskmaster and X23 are also good options for rushing. X23’s assists are pretty worthless though.
Trish or storm if you want a little more zoning capabilities whilst still being able to attack.
