I’ve decided to go with Dante (jam session), Wolverine (berserker slash), and Amaterasu (cold star).
Wolverine’s rush game is scary good, and I like having Ammy’s assist to back him up incase I’m being forced back since it gives me time to get in there and get the job done. I don’t really feel like Wolverine compliments Dante too well, but I enjoy having these two together regardless.
Amaterasu is just a terrific character all around. She has low health, but she makes up for it by being incredibly versatile with all aspects of the game, so whether I need to soften someone up or finish them off for Dante, Ammy get’s the job done.
Dante pretty much is kind of like Ammy in the sense that he’s a great rounded character that can adjust to any situation. I just started playing with him but I truly feel like I can’t go wrong picking him.
Pretty decent team I believe, and I had a terrific record with these 3 today (went 14-2 with them). Not to mention the fact that their triple hyper combo works REALLY well together, if you’re opponent is grounded =D.

Dante-Jam Session
I’m completely new to the vs. series so I don’t have much to contribute strategy wise. I’m still working on the order. For now I’m starting Wesker just because I want to work on him the most right now.
One of the teams I’ve been running is Dante(Jam Session)/Magneto(Disruptor)/Sentinel(Drones).
Once Dante gets inside he can stay there and mess you up pretty good. He can get inside by using drones > teleport > or slowly work in with Disruptor assist. Magneto can build meter crazy fast and sentinel and magneto has always worked well together. If you can land a combo into Jackpot with 3 meters left on the last shot you can DHC into Gravity Squeeze for well over 800,000 damage. It may seem like a waste of meter but this team builds meter surprisingly quick. I like to save X-Factor and Sentinel for last if I can :).
Team I’m currently working on is Dante (Jam Session)/Amaterasu (Cold Star)/Sentinel (Drones).
Gives me some balance to deal with a bit of everything. And I have ammy to duck under any spammy sentinels and such. Can teleport with dante for a similar effect. Sentinel can crank up the damage. Dante and ammy both have great combo strings. Ammy and Dante can chip pretty well. Aside from the health deficit that ammy and dante have there don’t seem to be any issues for me, and sentinel covers the health disadvantage anyway.
If they’re spamming it, you can counter quickly with Million Dollars. Ensuring a hit. Kacom’s Super jump to Air Play works well.
Then there is Air Trick.
Start off with Chris, deal as much as damage and meter with him. Once there is enough meter, Switch to Dante.
Dante’s Jam session helps Chris a lot.
Trish’s Peekaboo/Low Voltage is used for Dante’s teleport.
Incase Dante or Chris dies, She takes over the role of that character.
I plan on replacing Trish with Jill though.
Reason being is that coldstar locks them down in the corner, and so does dark void. Also, I have anti air covered with Dante’s Jam Session, however, I fear that Dante needs a better assist than that. Because of his unfortunate frailty he needs assists that cover his ass. Coldstar is more offensive, and Doom missles are more offensive, things like Hsien-Ko chain or something like that.
can someone judge these two teams im working on ther for mostly rushdown since thats my perfered style of play

I have Dante on point using his sword to just soften them up while Akuma’s cheap tatsu assist covers him. Then once I finally make it in, I do an instant air dash H as I call in Deadpool for an unblockable (only unblockable if they’re on the ground so watch out. Deadpool’s quickwork hits low while your air dash H hits high) Then pick your combo of choice. If I can’t get in I also like baiting with Dante’s rockets, whatever they’re called, call in an assist, then teleport right before the assist lands, almost like Sf4 Dhalsim crap. If Akuma is out I just molest them with tatsu pressure until I get a combo, or until they get away. The hurricane kick builds meter so fast so if you ever need to switch out just dhc. If you ever are able to push them into a corner with Akuma, throw an air fireball, call Deadpool, and do a jump in tatsu for another unblockable. When it’s Deadpools turn be really gay and keep doing his medium happy trigger(fireball) in the air. The bullets will cover almost the whole screen and can only be avoided by super jumping. I usually try to save Akuma and X-factor for last if I can help it. Otherwise Deadpool does nicely.
I’m currently using Dante and X-23.
I’m still experimenting on what should be my third character, and I’ve been thinking to pick someone with a projectile sorta assist, like Iron Man’s Unibeam or something like Dormammu’s Dark Hole. The problem is that I’m not that good with either this characters.
What do you say, guys, should I try to learn how to play Iron Man, Dormammu, or should I try someone else on this team?
I’m still trying to avoid using Sent, I’m thinking other possibilities before going to’im. Besides Dorm and IM, I also thought of Morrigan or Akuma, who knows?
