ive been using dante(jam session) deadpool(tigger happy) akuma(whirlwind kick) and it’s been workin out pretty well
Dante/Zero/Sentinel.
Dante and Zero are good versatile characters. Zero’s assists are alright at best. Sentinel is really good with his assist providing very good cover for both characters… and if I lose them. I just cheese it out. lol
Help with Dante vs zoners/keepaway teams!!!
so I’ve been playing alot of mvc3 as of late and I seem to be having alot of trouble getting past a good player who zones, and I was wondering what methods you guys had for closing the gap and approaching people who zone?
Dante has 40+ Special moves and a double jump, learn how to use them.
also, I heard training mode was pretty good in this game.:tup:
Good cover assist like Sentinel’s Drones, Hulk’s Gamma Wave, Doom’s Molecular Shield/ Hidden Missles and then teleport in (:d::d::s:). Thats what I would do.
Super Jump - Dash in then (S). Use assists to protect Dante from recovery.

I have Haggar on point because if I dont start off near them I cant get in, plus I like to build meter with him since he doesnt need to use it.
In my opinion Trish is amazing, at EVERYTHING. I expected her to only be useful when I decided I needed to keep people out, but she’s proved to be able to RTSD as well.
how fast is teleport. If you know an opponent is doing a projectile with more recovery then shouldnt teleport destroy them? or are all projectiles fast in this game or recover fast. I gotta check some frame data

When I’m up close with Dante I’ll do something like this
c. L, L, M+Dormammu assist, H, Bold Move, and see what happens
If Dormammu hits, you can use spike for style points or just combo into the flame wheel
If not you can chop em and keep going with a lot of other stuff
You can also combo into the untechable knockdown that “The Hammer” provides using this method. I think that’s pretty solid but as for post-knockdown set ups, I know none currently
Wolverine and Dormammus assist both work great for teleport mix ups.

Normally I do the sent drones>teleport thing but every time I call sent he gets hit by projectile spam.
Against zoners like Sent spamming s.H, cr.H, I do 22S (down, down + S) covered by Iron Man’s Unibeam assist just in case they press a button. Worked out pretty well so far.
Deadpool (Trigger Happy) / Dante (Jam Session) / Iron Man (Unibeam)
Zone with Deadpool, and rushdown once you’ve got them knocked down with IM assist and wavedash for lows/overhead (forward + M or j.M). Deadpool plays the part of battery/keepaway because his air trigger happy coupled with either Dante assist to keep them from jumping in and IM assist to keep them from dashing in. After getting a good amount of meter (I usually don’t switch out until I get 3-4 meters), switch to Dante for pure rushdown coupled with IM assist to help him get in. IM plays rushdown again with Dante/Deadpool assist to keep them from jumping away so you can mix up with tri-jumps/lows.
to do bold move, push special + any attack button at the same time. use this 2 cancel moves & to keep the pressure on
& my Dante inspired team is Magneto (EM disruptor assist), Dante (Jam Session assist), & C. Viper (Seismo or Burning Kick assist, depending on the situation)
You need Magneto to get your meter up at a fast rate. Know the B&B combos especially. Then Dante uses the meter with his Devil Trigger or Jackpot combos, & C. Viper is the last resort & you have to know how to play w/ your last resort 1st before anything. With this team, keep assisting w/ Viper w/ Burning Kick because it’s 1 of 2 overhead special moves in the game.
Dante and Wesker work really, really, really well together. Wesker can OTG for Dante resulting in even crazier combos, and when Wesker is on point, Dante’s jam session can be used as an AA or as a mixup tool, making Wesker even more dangerous.
On top of that, Wesker does huge damage without using any meter, and also builds alot of meter from his long bnb combos. This lets Dante come out and dump a ton of meter on his ridiculous combos.
I’ve been using Sentinel as 3rd for yet another godly assist, and because he is Sentinel. Why not.
It honestly seems like Wesker/Dante/_____ is one of the best team setups in the game.
Hey I’m looking for a third partner for a Wesker/Spidey team (wesker first). I was originally going to use amaterasu but her low life and lack of a get off me assist makes me skeptical. So i’m down to choosing between iron man and dante, but it seems iron man’s unibeam is far superior to his repulsor blast, but i already have a projectile assist (spiderman, caz all his other assists blow).
basically, is dante’s jam session as good as it seems? can it both be used for lockdown for mixups and as a get the heck off me move? one other thing, is dante’s hope (atk + s) actually useful. for instance can you confuse opponents in block strings in switching between the hop and the teleport? thanks.
Is it me or how come everytime I teleport, I always get hit by something first?

i love this team, everyone teleports… dantes all crazy rushdown, wesker is more or a brute force rushdown type with alot more teleport opportunities imo, and dormammu the beast keepaway (who can rush down rofl!).
ive come up with a few fun combos;
Dante>wesker>dormammu

THIS BUILDS 3 BARS!
you can also dhc the super back into dante for 92-93 hits and 814 dmg, this is probably the best option. alternatively once you’ve grounded your opponent with dormammu you may wait for bounce and lv3 super for 862 dmg.
2 things to note; it wont work on smaller characters, think typical female char and smaller, and uhhh…haven’t tried it yet and im too damn tired right now but… if at the end of this combo you can do like; call assist, then black hole, dash up, combo, relaunch and go back into crossover for more meter…
