I’m currently using Dante, because I love DMC, and Dormammu, because he has a flaming head. I was just wondering if I would be able to play a low tier character I enjoy on point or do Dante and Dorm really need a strong assist?
It really depends on which characters you are interested in to determine your team composition. It certainly should be possible, but it depends on who the character is and whether he has any synergy with the two characters.
Is X-23 too slow for the grapple unblockable? Whenever I try to do it, Dante’s jH hit before X-23 even attacks and I’ve even been able to block it myself in training
I’ve been playing Dante/Dorm/Ammy since the end of Vanilla and there is so much shit you can do with that team. I later changed it to Dorm/Dante/Ammy because I feel as though Dorm is better start of match character.
I’m pretty interested in using Dante and I’m also enjoying C. Viper as well. I was wondering who could be the correct piece for this ‘puzzle’ and how I should go about playing a team like this?

I am entering a tourney in like 2 weeks so i want to make a new team for that, i like my team, is just i want to replace hawkeye with dormammu or zero, if i put zero it will be the ultra common zero/dante/vergil/ and if i put dormammu it will be dante/dorm/vergil, dante is my best character, so it would be smart to start with him with dorm to gain meter and abise stalking flare meteors etc, the combos are not a problem though, but i haver never used dormammu or zero in a’‘serious’’ match, so which character is the ebst to get familiar in 2 weeks?
Everybody drop combos with Zero, no point going with him without couple of month training in the mountains.
How come Weasel for Dante? Would Jam Session be a better choice?
Hey guys, I’m thinking about messing around with another team, but I’m always looking to keep Nemesis on it. Something like Nemesis/Dante/Strider(?). So far I’ve started utilising some well-known stuff like command grab + raw tag shenanigans, and Jam Session as a good assist for the zombie, but I was wondering something else.
After Nemesis’s BnB into rocket super for about 750-800k, what are my DHC options into Dante? Is there a viable DT combo I can get after it or is Million Dosh the better option? I was thinking DT because in the likely event the zombie gets taken out it means Dante has a solid way in. What do you reckon?
I don’t think you can actually get more damage with DT (maybe with some assists). Going for DT ender is ok mostly if you want to get rid of the pixel of death. Might be hard though, as if I recall, Nemesis uses both the ground and the wall bounce
After DT you can try Million Catarats >s.S~Clay Pigeon~Stinger>Hammer>Volano~Beehive, but that requires the Wall Bounce, maybe you can try Million Catarats >s.S~full shots of C. Pigeon>Reverb Shock>Fireworks, but don’t know if you can because of hitstun decay, also you can use the nemesis assist, haven’t been in the lab with nemesis a lot so don’t know a lot. of his stuff
I am tryng to do a Team with these 2 characters also, it is not like they rely on assists, but some of them REALLY improve the neutral game of these characters, Doom Hidden Missiles, Hawkeye Arrows or Beams Assists, also Rapid Slash is good for them, and Vergil being so good on anchor is a big bonus, but you should really play with the characters you feel more comfortable IMO, tiers don’t matter in team building and a lot of low tier characters have a lot of things that hasn’t been discovered, meaning that tiers are wrong right now because the game is almost entirely new, use the characters you love and try to find stuff with them, all characters have great potential.
Looking to run Vergil/ Dante/ Strider, but I’m debating the order and assist to use for Dante.
What do you guys think? Vergil with Crystal or Jam Session?
I want to Run Dante first, since it will build meter for Vergil and I have some good combos with both assists. DHC wise I think this is the best order as well.
But with Vergil first, I get combo extensions with Dante assist and having Dante second gives me the chance to rebuild meter for Strider again.

I think you should put vergil first, because vergil needs more the assist of dante, than dante needs the assist of vergil IMO.
Crystal or Jam Session for this team?

Well i would say crystal(i use that assist) i think is the best for him, you can use it to extend vergil combos or sometimes to do left/right mixups, the o sparda brothers are top 3 duo’s in the game , they complement each other so well, safe dhc’s to the other, great dhcs anywhere in the screen, and both of them can use very well the assist of the other, dante can continue the combo with rapid slash and reset the ground bounce for vergil to use it, and if you add the vajra assist… godlike team.
Tips for a Viper/Dante/Strider team? Weasel shot or Jam Session? And any combo extensions with these two?

Does anyone have an idea of how a Dante, Nova, Vergil team might work out if at all??Nova, Vergil and Dante are hands down my fave characters in the game but it just doesn’t seem like they’d make a great team(hence my main “Nova/Vergil/Doom” and 2ndary “Wolverine/Dante/Akuma” teams instead). If anyone has some good insight/advice for this and can possibly convince me they could work really well I’d love to hear it…otherwise I’ll just be sticking to the teams I’ve got now
