What is the general consensus on Dante with cold star backing him up?
Not as good as dedicated beam assists? Just as good? Good for resets? Useless?
I’d say good, but I’d prefer a beam. Sets up a high/low mixup but once you open the opponent up it scales Dante’s sucky damage even harder.
Yea I agree with icyie, id run it only if I was determined to run a team of dante and ammy, and even then id run another assist behind her to level things out. Of course Im not dante pro so take my opinion with a chunk of sodium.
Everything you both said was pretty much expected.
Of course it scales way harder then assists like Magnus’s beam for example, and it’s not as great for teleport mix-ups.
I initially already knew the answer, I just didn’t want to believe it.
Perhaps I had hoped that someone knew of some secret outside use for it, oh well.
I’m running Dante/Vergil/Mags and I need some more mix up ideas other than the ones I see yipes do lol. My combos are good but I feel like I don’t have enough mix ups even though tele beam is super good anyways. I just want more than just those. Same when I play zero may cry team 
^ We’re running the same two teams, lol. But I don’t really have any other mixups other than beam + tele or rapid slash + tele. Lol.
I just tried out Dante/Vergil/Strider and wow, I think this team is stronger than Dante/Vergil/Magneto from first impression. My Strider is ass though.
That has been my off and on team since day one. Its great.
I’ll have to agree only if vergil is on point cuz strider doesn’t really help Vergil in tele mix ups sadly 
though Dante and strider are such a good combination
i always use my xfactor with vergil, always always, so if strider comes in with no xf thats not a good look… which is why i prefer magneto
Agreed, the problem with that team is that Vergil and Strider use the same resources(Xfactor and Meter), and if Vergil uses them first(and he needs to, to confirm off Helm Breaker and Vajra), well you end up with Strider being ass without those resources. Viper/Dante/Wesker all work better with Vajra because of this imo.
Dante/Vergil/Wesker…I’m rolling with Team Trenchcoat ATM…but I feel like having another character besides Wesker since he’s so simple…ideas? (cough Not Magneto cough)
So I decided to switch it up. I went with Chris Dante Strider. How safe is Dante’s DT as a DHC? of course I figure to try to get Chris’s second grenade off.
I like to force chip damage. and I think Dante’s will help with that both with air control and on welcome with Jam Session. Chris’ Gun fire should be good as well to help with Teleport mixup as well.
team trenchcoat is best with vergil on point… but the team sucks to begin with.
dante/vergil in that order needs a horizontal assist since dante gives vergil an OTG with crystal once you do a spiral sword DHC… ideally magneto, hawkeye or taskmaster.
This has been a dilemma for me lately, I’m not sure if I want to go Brotherhood once again or maybe even try Hawkeye (though that would require learning a new character).
At the very least, the 15 seconds of Dark Vergil + Vajra is possibly the most unfair thing in this game, afterwards the duo seriously runs out of steam once Vergil can no longer self-otg into a full combo off of Vajra knockdown.
What are the thoughts about Shopping Cart instead of lets say Tatsu or Beam?

I’ve been thinking about running Dante/Vergil/Dormammu or Dante/Vergil/Doom. What team would you say appears to be better? Also, what assists should I be running? Thanks guys.
Dante-Crystal/Vergil-Rapid Slash /Magneto-Disruptor or if you want you can run Dante/Vergil/Doom-Plasma. As good as Dorm is as a character, he provides no real assist for the team and the team won’t really have any good assist to support your characters, Plasma beam and disruptor help the sparda twins get in and mixup really well and black hole is well, quite overrated as an assist. So from the two I’d take Dante/Vergil/Doom, but Magneto is the better assist for Dante due to his stupid damage scaling and is the better anchor overall.
