Like what? His cr.HK blows through all of your pokes, you can’t parry if he does lightning on landning since he’s reading your fadc.
You can parry and hit him before he gets to any of his options upon landing. His c.rk is parryable, that will deter him. Give me more than two scenarios plz. You’re focusing on minute portions of the matchup when hakan has an answer to everything.
Any of blanka’s far normals are easy to parry and combo off a lvl1 focus attack. Sure in your face he can be rough but at the right distance it is very manageable.
Yes, that’s true, you can parry his cr.HK. And parrying jumpins are 50/50 online cause of lag. He can also do hop into lightning or just dash forward LP into lightning as well. The whole lightning pressure isn’t easy to deal with.

EDIT: On the other hand, Oil dive beats Adon’s U1, so if you do slide press into uncrouchable and he throws out U1, you’ll grab him clean.

We cant expect parry him everytime because is really hard keep the oil during all the matchup. When unoiled I like cr. LP buffer into slide for him do not aproach easily.
When he is pressuring with eletricity we got to be prepared to react properly and I think that is the hard part of the matchup, he can easily bait our SPDs and crouch tech isnt effective against all his offensive options but I think is the safest one.
I agree with Bakkd, deal with this eletricty pressure isnt easy and I got to training more against this character offline to have a final and better opinion.
So how do you guys deal with his eletricity pressure, remebering that LP version is +5 on block.^^
An option I found to be very much viable is if he likes to hop after those LP lightnings, dives will catch him and push him into the corner where he becomes a lot easier to deal with, especially if you go for safejumps and slides. However, SPD does catch his hops as well, so depending on what you like to use both are very much viable.
Once again I lose because the guide is out of date. S.HP doesn’t hit if Cody goes for crossup MK. Your best bet is to block.
Another question is what can Hakan do against Vega? That matchup is so free, Vega can get away with almost everything, CCing him is viable but half the time you won’t be able to hit him cause he’ll be out of range and F.MP doesn’t hit in time unless you’re spot-on, which is impossible online.
Vega can be pressured hard once you hit him. From a slide+press, walk back a step, then fj.HK with safejump timing and OS f.MP. If he tries to backdash or reversal flash kick (even EX) he will just get hit in the face. If he goes for the short command backdash (KKK? or PPP?) you whiff f.MP and stay right next to him, allowing you to reaction punish him with cr.MK xx Slide. If he goes for the long backdash (which is uncommon with good offline Vegas) you can still catch him on reaction with HP Slide. So if he does anything, you hit him and put him back in the same situation. If he blocks, you get to pressure him with the threat of SPD and U1.
So once Hakan gets a hit, he can do serious damage. If you don’t get that hit and lose oil, well, that sucks because Vega is really good at punishing oilups. Fortunately, his offense is not that scary; he basically just has his kara throw, and that stupid bullshit oki crossup walldive. So unlike some other matchups, Hakan can be OK if he stays dry for a bit while you patiently look for an opening.

Wait, when you say you CC to beat his oki crossup, do you mean the bad one where he flies past you, then comes back off the wall to hit you (Sky High Claw or something)? Or do you mean the setup where he just does EX walldive and crosses you up by being inside your hurtbox as you get off the ground, similar to how Bison does oki crossup Psycho Crusher? I was referring to the second one, and if you can CC that, that’s news to me. I don’t think I ever tried because I assumed it hits meaty…and because it’s like, impossibly fast to react to lol
Also, you can do the setup I mentioned above after a HP SPD as well by taking a tiny step forward, then jumping.

I played all top player Blanka’s. None of them has a chance against Hakan. The key is, to pressure Blanka, esspecially when he has no meter.
Air grab combination with oil c.lk is the key for winning.

Meaty slides are really strong against him. Also, when you knock them out, if they have ultra, super or ex you can jump over them and meaty from the other side. Their only winnable option is the ex anti air blanka ball. If they knock you down and love to cross you with hops or do crossup blanka balls, you can U2.
With all respect but those Blankas looked like they never played against Hakan.^^
When someone keep fullscreen and just jump against Hakan offensive game you can say that they do not have any idea about the macthup.

Small update on the Gen matchup, its 8-2 in Gen’s favor. You have to try to trick him into jumping cause you can’t punish his normals otherwise. Parrying his Jumpins is really good and F.LK is good too but don’t FA on the ground unless he’s doing HP or HK, hands pressure just shuts you down so hard. Jumping in isn’t an option either so you’ll have to slap him, get the life lead and then punish his jumpins. S.HP trades at best as AA so U2 or parry is your only viable option.
Against cross ups, yes. But Gen has a double-hit j.hk in his crane stance, so not something to do every time.
Yeah of course hah. Its a really bad matchup cause you really can’t do much, DNCing on the ground is only viable if you know that Gen is going to throw out cr.HK/HP.
Update on the Makoto guide - MP into crossup doesn’t work, her LP srk beats it clean.
