Just a couple combos to show what you can do starting a combo with Tron. Either go for the Sword Loops, or Palm Loops. Whichever sounds tastier in the morning.
Hey Air Pirates, fellow Tronne Bonne player looking for some tips. I’ve been playing tron/sentinel/haggar for about a year now on xbla, with moderate success reaching the rank of 3rd lord, but just recently I’ve discovered I’ve never really had a solid solo combo with Tron. I’ve seen all the combo videos, but theres just mainly one thing I’ve had trouble with, and that’s Forward M into jumping M, H, then S. I just cannot manage to connect all of them to cause the ground bounce, and I could really use your guys help. So, any tips?
^ If your opponent is grounded when you start the combo, then it should be possible to do that. Starting with a s.L for example, something like s.L > s.M > f.H (Boulder) > H Drill (mash) > s.L > s.M > f.M (Flame) > j.M > j.H > j.S should work. It’s important to keep the opponent grounded when you use the mashed H Drill otherwise the bit after won’t work. If you use s. H before the drill, the opponent will pop out during the j.MHS sequence. It is ideal to preserve the ground bounce here and save it for later in the combo if you have an extension with an assist. When done right, you can get s.M right as you land from j.MHS that will prevent ground bounce.
If it’s a matter of timing the j.MHS, you’ll want to get the j.M pretty much as soon as you jump cancel the Gustaff Fire, then the H and S should follow up easily.
The j.MHS will not work for every BNB. Depending on what you start the combo with and if your opponent is grounded or not, you may or may not be able to slip it in. You can set up different scenarios in training and figure out when it can work, but for the situation listed above on a grounded opponent, it should always work if you get the timing down.
That helps alot, I’m sorry if I sounded really scrubbish there, I’ve been playing for a long time that just always got me xD. Finally starting to get the Tron Solos down. c:
Tron is like Spencer in the sense that she has segments of her combos (combo routes) that you can mix and match at your discretion or to tailor to the current gamestate. It’s less about what her BnBs are and about just taking the different routes she has for combos from the OP and putting them together in a way your team can make use of them for assist extensions, meter build and screen position.
m.youtube.com/watch?v=GPzxdkzoMyI Hey guys just wanted to show my team synergy. I dont know if you guys have seen but idk lol might be able to post a ft5 or ft3 when I go to the next weekly session.
^ I do like the team, as you have someone that can make use of that reset tech. There are a few things you could be doing that will get you a bit more damage on your BNBs, and you can check out the combos in the video above for more optimized combos. Be sure to show us those match videos when you can!
Thanks for the feedback! And yea thanks to the vids on here I already have a different, stronger bnb when starting with a low. Its just a little harder lol also some cool style combos I want to get uploaded
You guys should try Tron/Rocket/She-Hulk! The team is extra fruity if you can get through Tron’s point matchup.
And since Log Trap snags birthdays every now and then, She-Hulk can give you actual birthday combos. It’s a pretty sweet team and is currently my B squad (or my anti-Hulk squad).
Hey Rikir (or anyone else that uses Tron session) any tips on doing cr.h session beacon h? I’m landing it like 40% of the time because I’m just trying random things and idk which are the most efficient. When should I be calling Dante? Before the cr.h during or should I plink the assist call? And should I delay the beacon bomb because I occasionally get bandit boulder.
Also any advice on doing j.s into beacon bomb :h: ? I’m trying to end the ultimate gustaff fire/jump loops but I’m missing it near the end where I do st.m fire the second time then I j.h j.s beacon bomb :h: but I’m pretty inconsistent.
For me with Jam Session, it took me an afternoon to play around with the timings to find out what was going on (using Vergil is stupidly easier, LOL). It’s almost plink timing, but there is a distinct tiny gap between c.:h: and :a1:. Just start from plink timing and gradually make the gap between button presses larger. Once you get it, it’s almost hard to drop in the future.
As for :h: Beacon Bomb, I actually use :l: Beacon Bomb when I can. The only solid advice I can offer here is to put a small delay between the j.:h: and the j.:s:; the j.:s: should begin just as Tron is descending from her jump.
Thanks very much man you’ve been a big help. The only reason I’m using :h: beacon is because I saw Rikir do it in the advanced bnb videos and it’s the only way I’ve managed to land beacon j.h st.h bonne strike but to be honest I’ve never really messed around with :l: beacon.
Just wondering.
When doing :l::d::f::h: :rdp::h: :l::f: :uf::h::s: :f: :uf::h::s: :qcf::h:
What’s the timing on the :uf::h::s: :qcf::h:
Should I :
a) do the j :h: quickly and delay the :s: a lot
b) delay the j :h: and delay the :s: a bit
c) delay the j :h: a lot and hit the j :s: quickly?
