what if I start the combo with a ground bounce? If I extend the combo that much I can’t get the jumping h to standing h then lunchtime. I’d love to see a mid screen combo too. The only reason I say this is because I get most of my hits from air dash s or cross up h with frank on the other side. I need conversions off both hits mid screen. Getting a hit and not leveling frank sucks. I need the Tron combo gods to help me on this one. I’ll get some videos up soon to better illustrate my problem. Thanks for the feedback Rikir!! Usually if I get a j.S I’ll follow up with something like j.MMH, land, TK H.Bonne Strike, S, sj.MMHS, c.H(Rapid Slash assist), H.Beacon Bomb, st.H, H.Bonne Strike, Super, Dhc, picture picture.

As far as catching the standing H after rapid slash, you might have to wait just a LITTLE bit longer before you do beacon bomb so they get caught just that much lower.

I’m wondering if you could do a very(VERY) late j.S and as soon as you land do Bonne Strike(catch them before they hit the ground) into super. Hmm.
I’ll have to test this shit out when I get home later.

j.H > s.H doesn’t work in high scaling. Just don’t do it. s.H xx Drill should be fine. If you dont have a ground bounce to extend with, from a beacon bomb capture just do s.H xx Drill OR if theyre really high do a really delayed j.S > land > Drill.

Really, you will level up Frank to a guaranteed lvl 4 as long as you can connect Lunch Time and whiff the DHC. In fact, the likely event is that you might end up killing most characters before you take your picture because youre making your combo so strong. Just keep it simple and level Frank up!

I figured I’d go ahead and just give my response here instead of PM.

I just bought the new Avermedia Live Gamer Portable to record, so I’ll definitely be doing more videos in the near future. This is actually something I wanted to deeply cover, so this is a going to be a brief example. There’s so much more I’m going to leave off, but I hope you look forward to it. Consider this rambling if you must, hope it helps lol

I highly recommend you browse through the forums, get your Tron BnBs down. Many of us here have provided nearly everything this character can do. She carries the momentum of the team from the start, so make sure you know how to properly react and make every hit count.

Leveling up Frank from any hit is quite possible, most preferably through a combo that leads to Lunch Rush and whiffing DHC with Frank.
I’ll go through most of them in a video, including leveling with Frank and Vergil on point, so hang tight. If you’d like, we can play online to show you.

Things to keep in mind:
Vergil’s assist is perfect for ranking up hits before the inevitable snapshot.
Leveling up Frank is the main priority, it can be the deciding factor between a win and a loss.
Don’t be afraid to keep it simple, any bnb will do. Assuming that you don’t go wasting the bar you are gifted at the start of the match, most BnBs will build a 2nd bar (and more) to level up and possibly keep the combo going to get the kill, putting you at the best position for your team, where you can choose to keep Frank in, or go back to Tron doing the incoming mixup of your choice with either character.
You always want something that leads to launch, MMHS rapid slash assist cr.H otg and H beacon.
If for whatever reason you don’t have Vergil anymore (or you landed a hit before he left as an assist), you can always land, Servbot Surprise aka King Kobun DHC to Shopping Cart super, snapshot, this also works wonders during a happy birthday.

Wiggins combo is one of the jS combos, so give it a try.

I use a variation that requires you to time the rapid slash and the H Beacon so that your opponent is at the precise height(?) that would allow you to do st.H into L beacon, in place of the commonly used followup after the rapid slash connects. (H beacon, j.H ground bounce H beacon) You use this to either keep the ground bounce from being used, to use after you’ve leveled up Frank for more damage, or if you don’t have a ground bounce available. Should you mess up the timing, you normally still connect the H beacon, however (once you got this down) you can identify whether doing an st.H to L Beacon would connect. If it connects you can do j.H, st.H, H drill Lunch Rush.
If the opponent is too high, plan B is to go for a TAC, j.H GB, before they hit the floor launch sj.H direction of choice (keep in mind, if you do up exchange, delay a little the direction +S otherwise it’ll whiff)

From this point, you have plenty of time to decide on a number of ways to proceed based on the following:

a) Meter available and the meter you can build with a follow up
b) Ground bounce availability
c) Hitstun Deterioration - This is huge, some heavily optimized bnbs that lead to the rapid slash pickup, the window you have to land the H beacon is very small (and can also be character size specific), which can leave you vulnerable should they recover. You get punished, and you don’t level up Frank. This is why it’s important to keep it simple based on how important it is to get Frank leveled up (even level 3 is best to have in certain matchups that would otherwise destroy you)

Ground bounce available:
j.HS land H Beacon descending j.H (holding forward so that it hits just before you land) st,H, H drill (mash) Lunch Rush before the last hit of drill
If you have 3 or more bars, and you have a character that you need to kill ASAP or with high health pool, you can alternatively do Servbot Surprise, st.H, H drill (mash) Lunch Rush.

Combo starting with Ground Bounce:
j.S, st.H launch, delayed M->M->H, before landing Drill Rush(H) (no mash) launch HS. call Vergil cr.H otg, timed Beacon Bomb(H) to last hit of rapid slash, st.H Beacon Bomb(L) j.H st.H, H drill (mash) premature cancel to Lunch Rush DHC whiff, snapshot (if you need more hits on the counter, time the snapshot so that you get at least 50 exp) Tools of Survival(M)x2 cancel 2nd into Survival Techniques, Works anywhere in the screen (you may need to wavedash forward after launching down) Does 1.1 million damage.

There’s also combos that can allow you to OTG pick up with Shopping cart assist as well, but they are specific combos carefully limited so that you can land an H Beacon after the shopping cart assist.

personal favorite:
AD j.MM st.L cr.M bandit boulder cancel to H drill (full mash) st.L M Gustaff Fire cancel to launch MMHS cr.H, during middle of cr.H call Frank, immediately H Beacon, j.H st.H, H drill mash premature cancel with Lunch Rush DHC whiff with Frank, snapshot, TK Tools of Survival(M) jump forward call Vergil, Air Tools of Survival(H) land super jump immediate knee drop, Tools of Survival(H, OTG) Tools of Survival(M) Does 1 million, spends 2 bars. after the OTG, you could also knee drop again, Roundhouse Kick (H) into Survival Techniques for more damage.

This must be a mess, but I’m tired lol

Since you showed me this. I’ve only gotten the second boulder to work once. I’ve tried everything, adjusting the distance from both characters, timing etc.
So I decided to stick to alternatives:
you can do boulder call Frank and do boulder again into H Drill,
or boulder Frank Beacon Bomb(M) Gustaff Fire cancel into H Drill. Not sure if you can kill Thor, but extra damage and less risk of dropping the combo.

EDIT: I meant to say, not sure if you, with Doom, can kill Thor, however, I do kill Thor with both of these alternatives, and keep my meter neutral (spend 3, keep 1)

Was recording footage to test out the new capture device I got, figured it’d be nice to have video of it.

Oh something just occurred to me while watching this clip. You were able to land j.MHS successfully even though you used an assist extension. Therefore long combo extensions are possible as long as the enemy remains grounded. I think I got some new ideas.

I’ll give it a try and see if that variation works out with the Tron/Frank/Doom team. I’ll let y’all know what the dealy is.

Amazing video! I have been playing Tron since release and I had no idea she could solo kill Thor. My BnB’s top off at 900k-1 mil. It is always fun to watch you play Rikir.

I’m a newbie Tron user and this might be a really silly question, but I can’t seem to land this combo.

I believe that it is due to the hit stun deterioration. When you use standing H early in a Tron combo, it limits what you can do later on. If you manage to keep the opponent grounded when you do the H Drill, it allows for the little follow-up after. So something like c.M (or s.M for easier confirm) xx H. Drill xx s.L xx f+s.M xx j.MHS xx s.M, so on is possible. I believe there should be a video for the advanced BNB that explains it better. I don’t recall but maybe the j.MMH might not work even if you drill on a grounded opponent. I don’t usually use that in my own BNBs, so I’m not sure…

^ Sounds like it can be really fun. If possible, I would maybe recommend playing around with Spencer Slant Assist for combo extension and some reset setups.

Oh, I know. The Wire Grapple assist resets are SO fun. I just use Armor Piercer because it allows me to do happy birthdays. I switch between the periodically. I’ve been thinking of making a Tron/Strange team. Any thoughts on that?

Hey guys having a blast learning Tron. Had a question about a basic solo combo for her. After doing the flame jump loops and connecting the j.HS --> H Beacon Bomb I can not for the life of me get King Servbot to hit after the delayed j.H,st.H. Any tips, I honestly feel like it’s just timing and practice like most things but I haven’t gotten it to connect yet. Maybe L beacon works since it comes out faster and can position them higher? Any help appreciated.

EDIT: just checked and saw H and L beacon bomb have same startup. forgive my scrubiness

The moment you connect the st. H, you need to cancel into King Servbot. The timing might be weird at first, but that’s always worked for me.

I have been wanting to try it out with Tron/Vergil/Strange to replace Task as anchor from my regular team. Bolts of Balthak seems like a better horizontal beam assist and makes it easier for Tron to get in than Task arrows. Plus, as Rikir’s recent video showed, you can get Impact Palm/Flames loops after a certain combo with Tron. Plus, both Bolts of Balthak and Eye of Agamotto assists can be good combo extenders for Tron to get a Beacon Bomb.
