Was autonomy granted to Aceh to give a minority ethnicity in Indonesia some feeling of self-determination, like the Basques of Spain? If not, what’s the point?
Dude. It’s an islamic matter. Government won’t matter and never has in such cases. Islam is not just a religion, it’s a system of government control as well. Hell, the government is probably composed of like-minded, overly-devout muslims anyway.

aceh has the best coffee there , but is fucked up . my grand parents used to live there , we got kicked out to Medan(then we moved to jakarta) , south side of Sumatra. Because of the anti-communist and anti-chinese rallies .
