Actually the match hasnt really gotten worse or better since vanilla , 5.5 / 4.5 or 6/4 max , Even though sagat has been nerfed , taking away akumas HK loop has helped signifcantly ( watch mago v momochi Tougeki 10) , and Tiger cannon is a god send in this match up. But a good akuma will still vortex the fuck out of u on wake up.
It got a bit better IMO.

I just started playing ssf4 a few weeks ago lvoe it don’t know why it took me so long anyways, I’m having trobule vs hakan the short weird jump arc, his command grabs, and especially ducking low fb’s make me have ah ard tiem zoning him.
Just attack him. Seriously. Fuck his shit up.

He’s a very good hakan any time I ts from far away he just ducks it he’s very good with his command grabs and fadc, I really don’t know what to do he waits till I try fb mixups and then gets up close easily.
Remember bud Hakan can get zoned out easily by Sagat. Just watch out for his slide and standing Fierce punch. Slide can be punished with a poke into upper cut. His wake up game is straight ass, try to fake him out with neutral jump mk, but don’t if he has ultra two obviously.
AND NEVER FORGET, YOU WILL NEVER MISS THE ULTRA AFTER A EX TIGER UPPER CUT AGAINST HAKAN. That is 500+ damage I believe
hey, i’m a bison player and i’m planning to go to a tournament here in cali soon. i’m trying to identify the options every character can use to shut down the EX Psychocrusher as a getaway option on bison’s wakeup. For example, after the knockdown, ryu has jump in OS DP, chun li can downforward roundhouse and kick from behind, and she also has an OS c.hk or s.hk upon jump in.
What are sagat’s options to beat this escape option? If you are extra generous, please let me know how you option select/straight up beat EX Devil’s reverse and teleport as well 
i’m guessing jumpin OS dp also beats EX Psycho, and i know that upon block, you can kara rh-> tiger uppercut to beat ex psycho. what about the other options? thanks in advance!

Cept it’s not even half as effective vs good chars as it is vs ST because his zoning is worse and his damage is average.
YO seriously , playing against a good gen is like fucking impossible to win. And no you can’t anti air shit cause when he changes stance, that guy jump becomes a hop. And when he has ultra/super that shit goes trough almost every fireball and all his normals beat yours plus he has 2 normal anti-air that beat you clean , it wont even trade with j.mp.
Gen vs Sagat tips… just watch this Sagat and be defensive.

I ain’t saying shit cuz I’m tired of getting called out for speaking on other Sagat’s skill levels or w/e. But I will say that Rambo’s brother has mained Gen since Vanilla and they probably play each other quite often if not daily so it may be less to do with skill and more to do with him knowing the match like the back of his hand.
