I count that as part of Naruto. Since he has to transform, i took that into account to. Kyuubi is decent, but not nearly as good as GNT4’s OTKN. Naruto on his own is good enough, tho.
Kyuubi is god in GNT4.
Kyuubi FTW!!!
I r a tier whore.
Fuck yeah. MMPR:FE. :lovin:
Ivan Ooze and Shogun Zord own your universe.
Yeah, he’s easily the best character, no bad matchups.
They have a tier list posted for it a few pages back here:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=5214052&postcount=447
The top 5 are pretty accurate. However, characters like Kank, Orochi, Haku, and Sakon/Ukon are all really good, too, in addition to the already mentioned Neji, CS2, A.Hinata, Sasuke
And some mid tier characters can still win tourneys, such as Tenten, Gaara, Hinata, Kiba, Lee, Tsunade and Zabuza but the lowest of the low tier are indeed absolute crap. (sakura, tayuya, anko etc)
Bust Hao in Samurai Showdown 3 was pretty stupid. Easy infinite off of anything murdered the entire cast
I don’t think OTKN is the end all be all by any means, but definately the top tier. Among the top 3 i think theirs good balance but after that it becomes significantly harder to win imo. Never found one i couldn’t smoke with Kisame XD they never could deal with the jumpout or stepping and without BBBA rape that matchup becomes like 5.5/4.5 OTKN imo. Pretty sure BBBA is gives Kisame a 50/50 tick throw attempt if you do the jump out so BBBA becomes a liability if spammed. Add that to being able to phantom 4/5 times and stepping j. A can actually turn into a liability. Itachi just doesn’t cut it as much imo just cuz most of his bullshit can be punished if baited.
Tsunade CANNOT win a tourney. CS2 wins that in a nearly 9-1 matchup. It’s 8-2 but uA literally beats her for free. Kiba, Gaara, and Zabuza however if played well can do well but they are pretty much strictly inferior to the top 3 or 4. Kank won some stuff but he is just tricky, once you learn to overcome his shit his low stamina and punishable strings makes him a liability, sasuke like life and he’d be probably around 5th in the game. Not being able to survive the large combo’s in this game is just a really really bad liability. Whoring Chakra ftw.
lol ya i used to post on Willvolution always did well in the Texas tourney’s Chang was the only one that could beat me fairly consistantly. I was smellthepwnage (ya i know gay name). Shoulda been at willvo 07. Was actually about 10 miles from the place but than my crew bailed and wanted to go drinking and partying rather than the tournament so i never was able to do our money match Heartnana XD. Still wish we coulda got it .
If they’d added an extra layer to the poke strings this really woulda been a good fighter but EX ruined it.
So gaara isn’t broke retarded i win tier in EX? I always heard his uA pillar, unmissable wake-up super, and general combo ability made him god tier in 2 but never played any after NGNT4 cuz they just seemed inferior.
thanks Stuart.
Any justice league task force tiers?
BBBA isn’t what OTK is about. Any of the good characters have ways to counter it without the normal shank.
Phantom is based off what side the player is on, so can you really count that as a legit strat when it only works on P1 side?
Besides against most characters that do the jumpout, BBBBA is a far better option. Its a lot faster, harder to get out of, OTK still lands earlier. He can just sidestep the j.A. OTK really does lock him down pretty decently. Though Kisame is strong enough where he can do something about it every once in a while, is the only difference. I’d say 5.5-4.5 or 6-4 is about right.
Have you played against Kokain/Funked/Projekt/Dark Sasuke etc?
There’s not many OTK players in Texas or Oklahoma (which is the only place you really played, correct?) so i don’t think you really grasp how good high level OTK is.
It’s not a good matchup by any means, but she can still do hella damage, she guard crushes super well, and with his lack of a b+B autoblock, he can get guardcrushed bad. Even Gaara can beat Temari every once in a while if the player is smart enough. Same thing. Not saying Tsunade is GOOD against CS2, or that it’s not a bad matchup, but it’s not 100% unwinnable, just very difficult, which there IS a difference with.
Besides, the only 9-1 matchups in the game are like, Tayuya vs OTK or Shino vs Kisame and stuff like that. There’s no way Tsunade, which is quite strong is THAT bad. I’d say 7-3 at WORST. Believe me, i’ve worked my way around stupid hard matchups (Temari vs Hinata), and while i have to work a lot harder, it’s definitely do-able.
Of course, I’m not saying they’re superior, but they’re not worthless imo.
Kank’s major problem, more than the lifebar, is just some matchups destroy him, like OTK, Temari, and Kisame, to be precise. If he gets counterpicked (not just regular “theyre better characters”) by any of those three, its VERY difficult for him to win. He really destroys a lot of characters tho.
It’s a shame, cause i totally would have done it. Maybe sometime if we ever attend the same tourney again. I forgot why we were gonna do it, but whatever, haha.
well, BTu+A was banned, and the fact that he still can’t do BB safely (in EX1, that is) made him really hard to get anything going aside from doing u+A a lot. That’s his major downfall. Remember that in EX1, there’s virtually no blockstun, so if someone does BB, you can do BB after blocking the first B, before the 2nd B comes out. It’s really dumb.
Ex2 fixed that, but still has a lot of problems, specifically the stage change, OTG, and just the overall weird system that makes matches take forever.
im currently developing that for the snes version…yes im playin that shit hardcore lol!
Are you referring to the time-slow OTG infinites? If you are, then they definitely work on the PSP. I just pulled mine out and tried it.
Really? I was never able to get them, and i read somewhere that they fixed that for the psp version.
If you say they’re there, then i trust you, and i retract my previous statement.

lol, I know that it’s just that if you can’t counter BBBA effectively you get owned for free and a lot of people think the matchup is terrible cuz they never learn to counter it. That’s why i said it was 5.5/4.5 or so in OTKN’s favor after you learned to counter it. Otherwise you’ll just get rocked.
Nah, not a legit strat just it’s still a very handy trick to have up your belt if you can use it a majority of the time you go for it. Only go for it when you really got to : / but if it hits it can make a big impact on the match.

Ya it sucks for Kisame, but ya 6-4ish is right cuz he just deals so much off everything and draining your Chakra to 0 is just devastating.

I agree he’s the top in the game no questions, I just think in the top 3 skill is more determining than who plays who. Chang, Zev, me, and Savage all played OTKN in casuals and me and Savage practiced the hell out of the little bugger since we both played Kisame to learn how to counter him since he is without question Kisames worst matchup. I admit I never played any of them and I’ve always thought Funked to be probably the best NGNT4 player (but he never posted any vids to substantiate it that I could find), but I just never found anything OTKN had against the top 3 that couldn’t be countered.
Projekt never impressed me to be honest and his Temari was strictly inferior to Chang’s, no joke. His OTKN was always solid but never thought it to be better than Savage’s, but until I played him i couldn’t accurately make that claim. Not saying he’s bad, just I didn’t think he was a level above any competition that I played. I don’t like talking trash but that was my honest opinion, he’s probably the only credited “good” player I’ve ever said that about as he made quite a few mistakes normally when he played regardless of character. He also used BBBA with Kankuro which is a deathwish as it’s soo soo soo easy to step that 3rd B and punish with an uA with Kisame or a big combo if he’s low on chakra. Talk is cheap though, so unless we ever play this will just remain opinion.
You and Funk’d were the one’s if I went to the tourney I woulda feared matching against. Not saying that I woulda beat everyone else, but I wouldn’t have felt intimidated going in against others
.
I always figured Oklahoma/Texas against Mid-west/Florida would probably lose cuz after Chang/Savage/Me the level of skill really dropped dramatically so I felt it would end up basically being a 5 v. 3, but would’ve been fun.
Not unwinnable just really really really bad which is what an 8-2 typically means. I apologize for saying nearly 9-1 as i was just trying to emphasize how hard it was for Tsunade to win just cuz she can’t counter uA spam without psychically SS a uA and catching him on the return.
If i remember right isn’t their a technique that prevents someone from comboing off a guard break? like jump right before the guardbreak hit than techroll. I know i did something to prevent getting caught when guardbroke just been awhile since i played.
Tsunade can win if she gets momentum and gets a BNJ or whatnot, but if she ever loses momentum it’s a very very hard battle to win. uA spam really really gives her troubles. Add that CS2 has very very very high priority fan drop esque tick throw and much better anti-KNJ tools it gets bad. 8-2 is really where I feel the matchup is though I think at 0% chakra she can 100% him. We’ll just settle on it’s in CS2’s favor .

lol Y-cancelling block strings cuz you hit the puppet are really really sexy, add in that he can get 100% and he gets rushed down bad.

Teammate was being a douche to you saying you were all trash and wanted a money match and you talked shit back and i tried to figure out what was going on cuz he got embarrassed and angry and wouldn’t tell me what was going on.So, after figuring it out we left on good terms but I asked for like a $5 money match at the tourney cuz I knew you were supposed to be good and really wanted to play you, just in case we didn’t play in the actual tourney. I’ll be at Evo but probably will be trying to get onto that AH2 machine if Spooky brings it. Now I can’t play that worth shit and i’ll admit that, so it would be a bit one sided if we MM’d in that but would love to get some tips .
lol, ok it got banned that explains it.
Really respect you as a player, and still find your Lillica to be the shit. I wasn’t trying to attack your opinion in this or my last post and I apologize if it was taken that way (The tone kinda made it seem so to me, but this is the internet so i could be wrong). I’ll throw some money at evo away if your willing to give me some AH1/2 advice. I’m not very good as I really just recently jump’d into AH1 and the comp here is pretty weak as we’re all just starting, and we have only played together like 5 or 6 times. I play Gier/Kamui and intend to keep with her as she looks promising in AH2, though i’ll probably also pick up one of the new characters like Zenia or Catherine. Didn’t mean for the post to be so long.
Nope, i didn’t take it as offensive at all, you’re stating your opinion, and i stated mine.
However, that post is indeed long, and im too lazy to reply, but i agree with pretty much whatever you said. I won’t be at evo, though, but have fun playing Ah2!
And yeah, i checked willvo again, i found that whole thing quite funny. It’s a shame you couldn’t have made it for our $1 money match, haha. I really did want to play Savagebeating though, but I guess one way to not lose is to not come. XD
I have the EU version if that matters.
I played mine on the Japanese version, so that might be the issue.
Flash > Entire cast.
No, Superman > Entire Cast. Superman has an infinite that can hit you anywhere on the screen that is unblockable that he can do over and over and over again and you can’t get out of it. You can do it at the beginning of the match. Superman goes into the air and comes smashing into the ground and you get hit no matter where you are and your recover time is so horrendous after you are hit by the move that he can do it again, and again, and again. Watch this video, it explains all about it:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=u-6E5tpSKfU
Cheetah has an uppercut that takes like 90% of your health and it’s a regular special move. Flash however, can throw you off the screen and win instantly but it’s no near the levels of epic cheap proportions of Superman’s move.
Superman is Elder God Tier is such a tier existed. Start around 10:45 and you’ll see what I am talking about. This is perhaps the most broken fighting game character of any fighting game I’ve seen. It’s just ridiculously crazy and it’s a one move infinite! Tell me any fighting game character more broken than that!?
Although Superman is epicly broken, I think Ivan Ooze is more broken.I mean damn…he can’t be attacked low, has almost no recovery for all his moves, etc.
