What are good hotels to stay at EVO?
this would be my first year going so i cant say cal poly but this place is hella tight

I thought the sushi bar near Cal Poly with the super sexy waitresses was very entrtaining.
Other than that and Evo itself, the only entertainment was just outside of the ballroom.

Like many other peple in this thread, i to go to Cal Poly and i want Cal Poly to be the official site for EVO every year. The ballroom is too perfect not to be picked every year as the setting.
If it were held in Vegas, it would probably have to be held in one of the Casinos Show/Banquet rooms.
Example:
They’ll have to check each casino for the best accommodations for Evo.
Mandalay Bay is some what a good choice, since they have held such events as the Madden Challenge and Vegas Comic Con…catering to the Video game crowd. SO, they might be lenient on the age factor. However, I would think it would be quite pricy to rent out a few show/“social” rooms.
I vote for Cal Poly Pomona again. If you are really bored…you can go shopping at Ontario Mills (they have a Hooters restaurant there) which is around 20-30 minutes away. If you are really bored and have the extra cash, there are a bunch of strip clubs around the area…

how anyone can say cal poly over vegas is beyond reason. its like saying youd rather fuck that fat bitch attorney from the show “the practice” rather than beyonce.

what are you going to do, go back to your hotel room and jack off? the city of los angeles closes early, around 2am everything is closed including clubs. getting a taxi and going to la is just not reasonable. pay 100 bucks to get to poly to sunset blvd, then another 100 to get back, whoopie!
or go back to the hotel and play some MORE games after a whole day FULL of games?
vegas, good lord, i got that town scouted already. theres hot spots all over open till the sun rises. places to lounge, club, gamble, drink, whore houses, whatevers your thing. and everything is within a short cab ride away unlike la where everything is far apart.

Vegas sounds tight, but I’m not sure it’s affordable for the tourney organizers.
