oh dude i had to play my pool games around 2:30 am, im guessing they shut off the ac around 10 pm, but from 10 to around 3:00 when i finished my pool games, god it was a sweltering jungle…

Yeah, I agree with Cal Poly. The room was big, ACed, clean, soft floor. I really enjoyed my time over there.
But yeah, ECC is EC stuff, even though its not the best tourny area. So ya, ppl saying to have it in NY. Just stop…it’s not gonna happen.
there is one major problem with cal poly, it is NO where near any airports. i remember this being huge, taking a taxi to poly from lax is just not reasonable (probably upwards of a $100 bucks) so unless you know people or have a rental car youre screwed.
i flew into Ontario instead which is much closer, and the cab ride was only around $25, which was very reasonable IMO. then the team serious guys hooked me up and let me stay at the hotel up the hill, so i could walk 2 to 3 minutes and be in the ballroom. other than food, evo’s location was absolutely perfect.
I flew into Ontario as well, but my cab ride cost $65 dollars! Which cab service did you use?
BTW I loved Cal Poly! And would love to see Evo2k4 held there again.
jesus. what hotel did you go to? maybe it was closer to $30-35 now that i think about it, but definitely not over $40. and i just asked one of the information guys outside the airport what the name of the mountains were in front of me, then where i could get a cab. he called one for me, and that was it.
i vote Cal Poly again yo. i had more fun there than at UCLA

I noticed when I went that there were a bunch of rooms in the building that we didn’t use. Did we have access to those rooms? For tournies, casual, etc.? Will we have access?
Cal Poly is the perfect place for everything except food the places to eat downstairs should of been open but they were closed and people were passing out left and right asking random people for a callphone for pizza:lol:
