Is it safe in the sense that your opponent can’t DP through it? No. It’s intentionally loose in two spots (standing medium punch and the slash), there are two frame traps built in. It’s safe from normals, which is why it’s such a smart set-up: mashing on crouching short blows up a lot of the slash set ups, so he conditions his opponent to block which lets him land the cross-up.

Oh yah and everything in the string combos if any part hits.

I just thought I’d throw youse guys some high level (imo) oni play I found on youtube. Loved the cross up air tatsu b+mp xx ex.slash reset. Gridman is the shit! I want to get to his level with Oni someday. I don’t think I have the reactions or the time to put in but I can always xcopy guys like him for local meetups and stuff.

Where you put it would probably depend on whether you want critiques or a pat on the back.
You hit some good combos online, and had some good D
Seth player seemed to not know that you can ex legs easily through oni fireball if he would just walk forward some… still good match.
