I’m pretty sure I beat your Ryu before. But online matches don’t really mean much anyways. Things could have gone a lot differently if I could punish your jab dp properly (with Tsumuji loop) and if you could hit Ryu’s basic 1f links, etc.

Have you guys messed with ‘just defending’ at all?
I was actually able to block with shoto unblockable with it, not consistently, but on occasion.
If you don’t know what just defending is, it’s blocking right as you’re about to get hit.
So for the shoto unblockable, i would hold back, and force ibuki to cross up, and right as she is about to hit switch to blocking forawrdforward.
The timing is super tight, but you can definitely block it if you do hit the timing.
Not really new information, if you already know about this type of thing just ignore this post or see it as a reminder, i hope it’s at least new information for some people and haven’t really tried it for ALL setups, but i *think *it should for most. It’s not that practical tbh, but it’s an alternative to being raped if you find yourself in such position or something to be mindful about.
If you’re that keen about getting out of the unblockalol, you should instead try to find ways to get out without blocking, as 1f blocking is really hard and should only be a last resort. For example with the Cammy/Sakura/Chun/etc. unblockalol you could probably forward dash out, which is easily mashable. For the shoto unblockalol, almost all the shotos can wakeup cr.MK to lower their hitbox and make the unblockalol whiff; this is easily plinkable.
Like i said, not always practical or the optimal way out, but it still can be a way out for some characters. This isn’t ibuki unblockable/lol exclusive either , also timing may not be as strict or 1f, see below. It’s just something i don’t think a lot of people know or consider, and i think might fall under the umbrella of unblockable/lol information.

Have you considered the possibility that the opponent just missed the unblockable timing? I miss it occasionally, like maybe one out of ten or fifteen times. 1f blocking is possible (I could do it once in a while in training mode) but completely unpractical, as Mingo said you’re better off trying to just escape it rather than blocking it

When I played izuna like two months ago, he told me about after neckbreaker there was another unblockable, walking a bit backwards and then SJ mk. I forgot about that until today. I tried twice and I get it easily in trainning room so I recorded it. I didn´t try if it works in other chars neither yet.
Kazegiri whiffs but I couldn´t show that in the video because I had to record it with my mobile phone.
There was also another unblockable where you take a step slightly forward and do j.lk or j.mk.
