Devil Triggering into jackpot is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo epic.
Dante looks amazing, but what else is new. I canāt wait for this game, Dante will for sure be on my team no matter how much better/ worse he gets. Iām just so excited he finally got in a VS gameā¦
So, for his āextendedā special moves, like turning stinger into million stabs, or crystal into million carats, it done the same way it was done in DMC3 (like by mashing?)
Donāt worryāyouāre not seeing things. He can, well, hoverādoesnāt look as controllable as IronManās flight though. Maybe it is. We definitely need to see more!

Iām surprised they threw Agni & Rudra into his arsenal.
Iām Happy they did, I hope they incoreperate Twister into Tempest for awesomeness.
Yay, they put Fireworks in there!
They did him perfectly in my opinion. He uses a lot of his weapons like Nevan, Agni&Rudra, Cerebrus, Beowulf, Coyote, and of course his main weapons Ebony&Ivory with Rebellion. From what Iām seeing his combos are fast, and do pretty good damage. Although, his DT super must do something do his defense because it seems like every time someone uses it, they start getting beat up. I can see his super with Ebony and Ivory being very useful just for how it works, and it fits his personality perfectly.
Also, I like the way they incorporated his different play styles in so fluidly, for example using Tricksterās Air Pike ( I think that is what itās called when he summons the red circle beneath his feet) the move with Gunslinger move with Coyote where he spins it around like a pair of nunchakus while shooting, Swordmasterās stinger, and when he blocks he seems to be using Royal Guard.

Redonkulous combo. Dante ftw.
It took only about 1/4th of his health (though Hulk probably has a higher stamina rating), but it is so representative of Danteās flashy, combo-heavy nature that I would expect from the DMC series.
Nah, characters seem to get something similar to GUTS in TvC, much more resistance to damage as youāre on your last bit of life. Mostly why you see people surviving with what seems to be a pixel of health left. xD
Thatās why I see KOāing a character with the last shot of his gun super so satisfying.
I think his lvl 3 should be either Twister or Tempest since this is the DMC 3 version and he is pretty offensive.
Oh shit, people are figuring out how to exploit the bounceāLOLāand here I thought it was only reserved for the 3D fighters. NOPE!
~K.
i really hope they tone down that bouncing, hulks bouncing up to dantes eye level. thats just fuggin ridiculous
What the hell do you want Virgil for and its much more diversity in the capcom cast to choose from? If Anyone comes from DMC is needs to be an enemy like Angelo Credo or Mephisto. The only difference that Virgil would have would be the summon swords, making him a mixture of Dante and Spiral. Iād rather get someone else completely different.
Virgil, Deadpool and Dante is overkill. But heās not gonna be in the game anyway so it doesnt matter.
I like how Danteās aerial slash seems to crossup DEEP.
Dance Macabre prz&thx.
Level 3 super MUST be Dance Macabre. Itās only logicalā¦
So⦠does is it known how Dante does things like turn Crystal into million carats, or Jetstream into fireworks? I even saw Dante do rainstorm off a move⦠do we know how he does this?
Dante has some sick juggles judging from the gameplay videos. Heās going to be used more online than Ken from SF4, but Iāll probably use him anyways.
From what we can see here, Dante may be a similar character to Megaman Trigger in Tatsunoko vs Capcom.
Megaman had a set of regular normals and a few āspecial normalsā that could be changed by executing his weapon switch specials. Since the weapon switch animation was very short and considered a special move, it allowed him to flow from weapon to weapon really quickly and string together some crazy combos, cancelling weapon attacks into weapon switch for links.
Iām curious to see how theyāll handle infinites in MvC3. In TvC:UaS, some characters had re-launch combos from air combos, but if you continued to abuse those, the opponent would just slip out of them eventually due to hitstun scaling. I have a feeling MvC3 will employ a similar mechanic, forcing Dante to drop the opponent eventually.
But yeah, the way they basically gave him his regular all-weapons playstyle from DmC3 gives me such a nostalgia rush.
