Some of you might recognize me as the “kid” who was playing extensively over the past few days.
Dante easily has around twenty moves. Most of his Crazy Combo extensions from DMC3 are in, which is quite impressive.
SPECIALS
GROUND
236A - Artemis’ charge move from DMC3’s Gunslinger. Can be held for more projectiles.
236B - Crystal, which is one of Cerberus’ moves from Swordmaster. Excellent for ending blockstrings, and it chains into his super easily.
236C - Hysteric from Kalina Ann in Gunslinger. Crazy chip damage, and it also has a slight homing property.
214A - Jam Session. Excellent as an assist, but not as useful on point from what I’ve seen.
214B - Revolver. Causes groundbounce on hit.
214C - Jetstream. Slow initial startup, but it chains into Fireworks on hit.
AIR
236A - Killer Bee from Beowulf. As the person above mentioned, it doesn’t become an overhead on crouch, but it does cause groundbounce on hit. A decent air-to-ground approach if spaced properly.
236B - Air Play from Nevan. Can be charged for more damage, and travels at a 90-degree angle.
236C - Sky Dance from Agni and Rudra. I rarely used this move so I can’t report much on it, but it’s a decent combo finisher.
CRAZY COMBO EXTENSIONS
Similar to DMC3, Dante can chain into unique moves by pressing the corresponding button repeatedly. This is an incomplete list, but I’ll try to add to this tomorrow night, as today is the last day of EVO.
Ebony and Ivory barrage - C repeatedly.
Drive - Hold Exchange during a launcher.
Million Stab - C repeatedly during Stinger (6C)
Rain Storm - C repeatedly in the air.
Fireworks - C repeatedly during Jet Stream.
I also saw people do Prop Shredder and Grapple by mashing buttons, but I’m unsure of the inputs.
B&B’s
5A 5B 5C 214C (Mash C) 236AB. Seems to work midscreen and corner.
5A 5B 5C E A B C DJ A B 236A. At this point, you can relaunch, or go into 236AB in the corner. Seems to be somewhat random or situational, sadly. Perhaps it’s due to infinite prevention, but I had a difficult time landing this outside of the corner.
