I thought that M Cube only works on small characters tho? Actually never tried it.

M cube works on a decent amount of characters. It works on Nova and Strange, but not Dorm. Even if cr.M, M cube combos, it’s more or less the same as using L cube then. Timing might be slightly different, depending on when you were doing cr.M, L cube.

I think the general one was: M Cube > b.H + Jam > react to pushblock with air grab, otherwise c.M as they fall > happy feet

There’s also some neat crossover/crossunder stuff: grounded air dash up > call Jam > ADUF (switch up the timing for a non-crossup) > j.S to confirm, or just low flight > ambiguous back and forth while calling Jam > ADDF j.S

What’s the optimal but reliable bnb with MODOK/Doom/Sentinel using both assists?

Reliability is dependent on your execution. I’ll start with something basic, but highly adaptable.

Basic combo, works from fullscreen, 560,900 damage, about 1.8 meter build
IAD j.L, cr.L, st.M, cr.H, IAD j.M, dash, S, j.MMHS, call missiles + dash in for relaunch, cr.M, S, j.MMS, M cube, f.H, L bomb, call drones, f.H, M blaster, dash, (L bomb)x2, f.H, IAD j.S, f.H, H blaster

You can switch the (L bomb)x2 for a jamming bomb. You can easily leave out the j.S extension at the end if you used j.S as your starter. You can switch the first L bomb with an L cube. After the last f.H, you can go for a big barrier reset (good when they are jammed too). If you are near the corner, you can do the following for the relaunch: (cr.M, S + missiles, slight delay, j.H, L blaster, add, j.S, L cube, L bomb, L bomb, back dash, f.H, etc). For that corner combo, you can trade the two L bombs with a jamming bomb once again (note that you cannot use the L cube directly before the jamming bomb for that jamming bomb) and it is sometimes easier to just go for one L bomb. Using the corner combo, the above combo does 603,800 damage.

If you feel like pressing lots of buttons, the following combo works but is execution heavy.

Optimized for damage, works from fullscreen, 673,000, about 2.2 meter build
IAD j.L, cr.L, st.M, (cr.H, IAD j.M)x2, cr.LM, L cube, S, j.MMHS, dash in, cr.M, fly, addf, S + missiles, j.H, L blaster, add, j.S, L cube, L bomb, L bomb, back dash, f.H, L bomb, f.H, IAD j.S, f.H + drones, L blaster, st.M, delay, (L bomb)x2, dash, f.H, H blaster

The above combo actually isn’t so bad if you remove the (cr.LM, L cube) in the starter, as getting the relaunch is the trickiest part due to HSD. That nets you 646,200. If you start fullscreen, you might want to drop one of the L bombs after the missiles, so that’s down to 630,200. Also, that particular drones extension does 14k more damage than the one done in the first combo I notated (M blaster[24k] vs L blaster[18k] and st.M[20k]).

Thanks that helped with my Dok/Sent variation.

Going back to my Jill/Dok/Sent team it was always better for me and for Jill I’m just gonna use beam assist for Dok instead of bomb since I found it all around better for both Jill and Sent.

Can anyone suggest some Dok+Drones combos that I can do in case I lose Jill? Thanks in advance.

Starter -> sS, small delay, sjMM xx L Blaster, AD Down jH, cMH6H(wallbounce), dash back 6H, IAD jS(knockdown) + Call Drones, cM xx L Blaster into drones, H Bomb, 6H xx M Blaster xx HBR (Right up right right down etc) xx Plasma Dome

jS Starter -> sS, jMMHS, bunny hop cMS call drones, sjHS, land, cM drones hit 6H, dash back 6H xx jump, land, cM xx Fly, unblockable reset

Those are my two easy, general BnBs, with just drones remaining.

Nothing recent, Dura, only stuff from a ~month after I started learning him, which isn’t very good. I’ll see if I can record something decent in the near future.

Do you know anyone who plays Nova/Dok/Sent? and if there’s some footage of them playing?

I’ve had a bit of a play with this team and it seems quite fun. Just looking for what the BnBs would be and any other tips/tech. I’m guessing I could adapt some things from Moons for starters…

I play some Nova/Dok/Sent.

Just do a basic Nova bnb into > f.H > s.S > j.H > Supernova > DHC HBR (whiff) > Call Nova + backdash > c.M > L Blaster > L Bomb (or f.H > Jamming Bomb at the peak of the groundbounce) > f.H > L Bomb > Call Drones > f.H > M Blaster > (Jamming Bomb possible here) or dash s.S > low SJ L Bomb > j.S > c.M > L Blaster > HBR

If I can kill without a DHC, I do f.H+Drones > delay s.H > dp.M > dp.H > Supernova

If Assist 1 isn’t available I’ll typically go for a TAC in the corner or do an oki setup with Drones after DHCing to Modok

Just a quick question, does the first combo still work if you DHC to HPB (with the opponent bouncing on top of the beam for the the followup)? Or is it just easier whiffing the HBR?

It’s much easier whiffing the HBR, unless you have LoUs that extend the HPB knockdown.

Eh thought Bowser made a vid for me with that team but I don’t know where it is. If you all have any interest in a Doom variation.

Are there scrubbier variations? I don’t see the missiles portion happening outside of my house on a good day lol. Also, how do you utilize missiles to get a jamming bomb?

Midscreen
S, j.MMHS, call missiles, wave dash twice, cr.M, S, j.MMS, land, dash, jamming bomb, into f.H or whatever

Corner (no cubes)
S, j.MMHS, cr.M, S + call missiles, j.H, L blaster, add, j.S, L cube, L bomb, back dash, f.H, jamming bomb, into S or snap

Corner (at least one cube)
S, j.MMHS, cr.M, S + call missiles, j.H, L blaster, add, j.S, L cube, jamming bomb, etc.
