Yeah they do.
or you would get booted for ‘being cheap’. I guarentee it would be abused by people who don’t like to lose, similar to the rep system. I have a whole bunch of aggressive and unsporting conduct reviews, but the only thing i do is just play as hard as i can to win, and try to be helpful and friendly
Do you really want play with those people though?
i usually just jump into open player matches, but i’m open to play with anyone, just shoot me a friend request
king, i would post this in unity. rey and crew are reading and posting to the suggestions and other fixes. also, it needs to be a voting system. if the majority dont want someone in the room, then oh well. but giving it to just one person, bad idea
I just try to play credible players like sabre, jumpsuit, kingdom, etc.
yeah but its also nice to try to find other players that may be decent that you never knew of. you know? ive ran into a few players that were pretty good, and i have no idea if they even post or know about srk.
vote option ftw heh
the only time i’ll boot someone who is better than me is when they stay in the room (after being 20-0) and don’t talk! …they have nothing to prove by that point and offer no help
ever think that maybe the person has no mic, or has no way to use a mic cuz of custom stick? or maybe because he doesn’t care to chat to random people on live since 99% of live are childish idiots? I don’t care to chat to random people I don’t know. i just want to play. this isnt a team based game. even so, I can’t chat anyway since I don’t have a functioning mic. so you’ll boot me cuz i don’t chat up a storm when you lose?
thats a horrible excuse to bump people out. have fun playing weak players. you should be happy that a good player, who might be getting bored with the lack of challenge, is staying in the room, maybe to help you guys get experience vs strong tactics.
Rey didn’t include a boot feature most likely because he didn’t want anyone especially the casual crowd who make up the vast majority of the online base to bitch about being booted, or give the host sole power to boot, or let anyone boot anyone because t hey were “cheap”.
Who cares if there’s a boot feature or not? If you don’t like someone in your room make a private one problem solved.
problem solved? so i gotta make a new room every 5 minutes cuz some laggy assholes or rude dickwads keep joining? that is very frustrating. i like having random people come in to play, breaks the monotony more. if i keep it private, and only 1 or 2 friends are on, ill never get a full room.
i understand that what you say may be the reason. people will whore it. but if it was a vote feature, how could this get abused? i mean, if all 5 people vote yes to boot you, obviously you arent welcomed there at all, and it’s probably good that you left anyway.
Wayyyyyy back in the first sthd thread I spammed how much I wanted a majority vote boot feature that would be perfect.
Personally I would prefer a boot feature but I can live without one considering I just leave and make another room if I get a scrub crying and usually they don’t E-stalk me into the next room because it’s full of new random people before they can join.
In HF the host who was the only one that could boot people always did after he beat anyone that came close to beating him:rofl:
I was speaking hypothetically
but if i’m getting pounded in my own room by some dude THAT badly–and he tears up everyone else too–then there isn’t any goddamn point of playing anymore…he’s better, end of story.
and no i don’t feel fuckin privileged to be beaten by some godlike person. its no fun for me and i can’t imagine it being fun for him UNLESS the guy just loves pounding on the weaker opponents—If that is the case, then FUCK that hypothetical guy, he’s a fuckin asshole :wgrin:
so you dont care to get better? please put me in a room with people that pound me 20 games in a row. i can use the experience. thats all im saying =)
You just described me. If there are two things that should never be mixed, it’s microphones and the internet. Disabling voice chat provides me with a much more pleasant experience.
i hear that. giving the internet another way to express their freedom of speech behind a monitor in the safety of their own homes, anonymously, is weak. if i really wanted to converse with random people on a fighting game, il ltake it to the arcade, where its preferred
Preach it:woot:
I’ve met more then a handful of pretty cool people on various xbl games but they’re a fraction of a fraction of the vast majority of the xbl community who are all droppers, trash talkers, or some combo of the two. On other games like gears2 it’s essential to keep in communication though.
I just don’t have any voice playing for anybody who isn’t on my friends list. Only downfall is you don’t get to chat with strangers if you’re into that sort of thing. I’m not.
I did join a room the other night, win five times, and then three people left. Good shit. But also bad. The three people who left weren’t terrible and I wanted to play them more.
Thats pretty lame. I`d rather play someone who beats me than someone I cream. You learn more from failure than success.
If you dont want to improve and just want to stay at the same static skill level you are, just create rooms titled
N00bs and scrubs only plez
