[quote="Hush of the Wind;8560005"After watching the footage again i have 1 complaint, why are you doing doing air dash S when air dash H gives you better option for combos starters? [/quote]
I don’t really have a great reason for you, I just find it pretty easy to convert off of j.S. More so than off of j.H, especially combined with Hawkeye greyhound assist. j.H leaves them too high a lot of the time, despite it’s great hitbox, and makes it tougher to do something simple like LMHxxWT.
Oh yeah and I lost to FChamp in pools at NEC lol, but it was 3-2. I don’t know if it was recorded though, probably not with my luck
This is basically the opposite of web throws going opposite the norm in some situations. (E.G. Spiderman would swing his hands clockwise, but the character is swung counter clockwise.) Only this time, instead of the character being displaced, the stage is displaced, and so you are throwing the character back in the corner. If you remember the Magneto glitch that turned your characters dark for example. Just with this you don’t have to put in any backwards inputs. If you want to get the glitch consistently, measure your wall bounces, and make sure the opponent is directly above your head and it only works with L.web throw.
i am pretty sure shuma does more damage solo than that combo
looked up some vids, looks like shuma has to spend meter but he still does a lot. that combo i believe can have the shuma part extended a bit, to about 600k before the vergil tag.
Shall we inject some life back into this forum? How’s about that Garrett Spidey doing well in SEAM? His team seems very good in neutral, plus he was pretty on point with his web throw loops to make up for the damage. Racoon into Strange comboes are pretty cool too. Looking forward to seeing him get better as a player and do some damage in the future.
Remember the time when web throw loops were “impractical”. Hahah. Like I said, just like lightning loops. Too bad Spidey’s not as braindead to play as Zero/Vergil.
After watching his matches I’m very impressed with garret. He’s the first spiderman I’ve ever seen (besides obviously me) who understands Spiderman approach tothe neutral and more importantly when to use specific normals. Hes probably the best spiderman atm at would be a good reference to how to play him properly.
But mimportantly what i Noticed is that he is Filipino. Obviously from the insurmountable evidence of tourney results if you aren’t filipino you cant play the char properly. So yeah tough luck if you aren’t one
That was very cute. Do 7 Web throw loops, drop the ender, doom kills him with a brain dead combo. I was cringing when he decided to do some fancy combo on vergil game 4. He had xfactor but decided not to use it, even though that was the only way to kill vergil. Decisions like that are so elementary.
Before all the hindsight is 20/20, you haven’t gotten second at a major etc, I never fault a player for dropping a combo. Everyone drops combos. But decisions like leaving characters alive because you didn’t wanna spend meter or xfactor is my biggest gripe with marvel players.
Yeah that was dumb but he was probably feeling himself and thought he could get son psychological edge by swagging it out. Still though fundamentally he played great and besides the few key mistakes he made he’s still a great example of how to play the char right.
Honestly I think he could get 20 times more mileage out of spidey/doom/coon. Plasma beam would give him more ground control compared to bolts and doom/raccoon is a great back up shell.
Haha. I’ll have to agree with BS on Filipino Spidey players. Lol.
I played Garrett during last year’s Christmas holidays when I went to the PH to visit family. I went 7-10 against him with almost all my wins being ocv Spidey wins. I ran my old SpiDrdHwk team. My team suffered matchup problems once my Spidey dies and I wasn’t able to plink that well or at all back then (changed my button config as soon as I got back to AU and got the loops down pat).
He’s a pretty good tourney player in terms of nerves but he does get those random awful decisions whenever he’s feeling himself or he’s getting pressured. He sometimes switches RR for Dante and says he’ll never play Doom which I don’t find a problem with since Strange owns Doom and RR can handle Vergil decently. He can be beaten in a long set when you get used to his awkward team, but good luck winning 3/5 if you’re not playing a top tier team with either point Zero, Morri, Nova or Vajra assist.
I also got to play some of his friends who played absolutely horrible on stream, dropping all kinds of easy crap but were really good casual monsters. Found it to be a funny experience.
Haven’t played that much since then and have been in a character crisis with Hawkeye lately. I can’t seem find a good replacement for triple arrows but want a more solid anchor. Looking to switch to Dante, Strange or RR anchor. Vergil’s fine but I’m not feeling his assist.
I want to put strange on my spidey team also. i wanted to for the longest time, but look Raoh i had him on a team with Hawkeye already. Is it too much for me to put Spidey with Hawkeye(triple arrows) and Strange(eye)? I kinda like having Hawkeye with the eye assist. i feel more comfortable zoning with that out.d
You really want a char with some sort of TAC ability and safe DHC as a second char. Hawk lacks the TAC one which is why I switched him to anchor position.
Check FGTV’s archives where he got 4th, there were matches where he got full loops iirc.
I have the loops down relatively consistent. The most annoying part is the first plink after the webthrow, that usually messes up everything. The next is when you do the cM cH, if you have sticky fingers or buttons, you’ll get a messed plink ending in sH. (At least in my case - i plink with H~LMH)
