a lot of people post really suck tiers chars

excuse my bad english

someone close this thread already XD lol

Chun w/ smaller stun and lower defense Ken still wouldn’t change much. I say give Ken two bars of Shippu instead of 3, and give Chun 1 SAII, and 2 SAI’s, and that puts them pretty much even with Dudley, Urien, Makoto, and Yun (w/ weakend GJ). So you’d have High Tier of Dudley, Makoto, Chun, Ken, Yun, Urien, then more or less everyone else, then Sean. That would be very nicely balanced. As it stands though, I’m not really complaining, I think ppl put too much faith in the top tier.

lol who negged me and uh…why?

Because Necro > Makoto.

coreographo, that post is like 2 years old.

it was probably parry all who negged me, who doesnt like me, yet also doesnt like to leave his name on his negs. i know its u man, why? where do u even live? u probably suck at 3s.

I didn’t read so I’ll make this quick.

IMO, new tiers

S-Yun, Chun,
A-Ken
B-makoto
C-dudley urien yang
D-Akuma ryu ibuki necro
E-oro remy hugo Q
F- 12 elena sean

…reasons for new S tier:
Yun-his new ender makes it to easy to rebuild meter
Chun-basically cause she’s the only one who can fight yun, without doing random dps like ken(3 frame jab and d.forward and run away tactics and RH), and can easily inflict the same damage.

hate away :arazz:

BEST TIERS EVAR!!! :nunchuck:

my only concern after reviewing my post, is that people will think i underestimate makoto, and that I especially underestimate Yang. Not true. But, I think makoto is greater than Yang cause she takes less damage and wins just as easily if not easier than he does.
and between S tier and B tier, there is plenty of room for upsets.
ken gets his own tier for owning everyone below him with d.strong hit confirms and throw ticks. Makoto gets her own tier for rushing just as effectivly as ken but, minus the hit confirms and slightly less ease of play, ie, poking ability.
C tier is reserved for the 3 because of ease of play alone minus winability vs. the above tiers.
D tier is just a little harder to work with or win with than C
E and F seem pretty obvious, just to much work.

as always, hate away!:arazz: :arazz: :arazz:

lol. I just got negged for saying that Necro > Makoto.

Being negged isn’t so special anymore!

whats with all this tier talk. i thought they were set

heres my tier list and what i think is most accurate in this order

Yun
Chun
Ken
Makoto
Dudley
Urien
Yang
Ryu
Akuma
Necro
Oro
Alex
Ibuki
Elena
Q
Remy
Twelve
Hugo
Sean

some of the lower section can be switched around, even the mid section.

i’ve seen some really good hugo players but he just has wayy too many bad matchups.

whos calling me a 3s scrub?

money match at final round/evo.

“i’ve seen some really good hugo players but he just has wayy too many bad matchups.”

He wouldn’t have so many bad match ups in Japan if players picked Super Art III every once in a while and/or decided to use his taunt! (I routinely see matches where Japanese Hugo players get 2 to 3 chances to taunt and don’t even make one.)

Elena isnt bottom tier.

I was just discussin with friends and thought : what if 3s didnt have Yun Ken Chun? who would most ppl play? and which character would most likely win tournaments??

Urien and Makoto

Dudley and Makoto.

dudley is like a weakened ken to me.

12 is overrated. he can’t do shit, lol…bottom bottom tier.

YSB uses SAIII all the time, and Hayao uses the taunt. But against most characters I like SAI, and the taunt is only good in situations where you can both taunt and keep the pressure on.

Personally I think Twelve is underrated. I mean, I wouldn’t take him out of low tier, but people think that he’s hardly even a viable character, and that isn’t true. He has lots of options against lots of characters. Yeah, he has a few terrible matchups, but against many of the characters his matchups aren’t too bad. Twelve > Q.

And if Chun, Yun, and Ken were taken out, I think Makoto would be the most played. She already gets about as much action as Ken and Yun in some places. I also think more people would pick characters like Oro, Alex, Q, Hugo, Twelve, and Ibuki, who have awful matchups against at least two of those characters but do alright against most of the rest of the cast.

watch some chikyuu vids

With Ken gone I think there would be an influx of Ryu and Akuma players, in fact, so many where people will actually bump them to high-mid or top tier. Yang will lose his worst bad matchup so he becomes a better character, and not second-rate to Yun. And Dudley doesn’t have to worry about Chun and does pretty well against the rest of the cast along with Makoto (with a few exceptions).

Top:
Makoto (new #1)
Dudley
Akuma
Yang
Ryu (out of the characters above him, only Makoto beats him and there’s no Chun/Yun anymore)

High-mid:
Urien (still tough to beat Makoto, Akuma… some may say Yang)
Oro
Ibuki

I think this is actually a better way to play the game, now that I’ve thought about it. Most of the good characters require more skill than the current top 3, and the ones that are easier to use still have disadvantages (Akuma’s stamina, Dudley’s fat hitbox). And the lower tiers don’t get steamrolled as badly. In the end I think Makoto, Dudley, and Akuma would win the most tournaments. Just my random opinion.

Edit: On second thought… I have no idea. Even with the way it is now, Makoto already wins tournaments. Take out the top 3 and she may be completely dominant. Maybe the top 3 are necessary to keep her in check.
