Third party PS4 padhack options

hopefully they still can release the pcb seperately. I don’t mind soldering, but they probably want to make it solderless. Adding 360 and pc afterwards through firmware would make it the most desired pcb for this generation

competition is good, Akishop need to step up their game…

You can update the firmware, and no more resistors?

I’m sold.

360 would require a separate chip and i’m sure ps3/4 mode works fine on pc.

Good to know someone is developing a board for the ps4. I’m gonna need boards to replace the Cthulhus in my SFAE sticks.

It would be cool if it were possible to obtain just the bare board with no quick-connects. Should be more economical that way for bulk purchase too.

So my question then is- would the staff working on this pcb and the Brook converter be interested in making a board tailored for this community?

@GOGO.Zippy
They seem to be receptive to the community so far- I’m sure they could pull some useful ideas for what we’re looking for in a PCB, and it’d benefit us modders as well by getting what we would like to see on a board. I’d have no qualms with a new option for pcbs

Still waiting for the sample board to arrive, probably by next week.

Here is the pinout diagram they recently sent us.

touch pad button… sold…

also connectors for an actual touchpad nice!

Is this board available to the public?

I think so. I know samples were sent to the big parts dealers. I’m guessing the final product will be coming out soon if these test samples work as intended.

Double post. Doug just emailed me saying the board arrived today. I’ll try and have one wired into a case by this weekend so I can test it.

Can anyone with these boards test out select plinking with the touch button on USF4 on PS4? Basically, wire the touch button onto L1 and use it to hit 1 frame links. Apparently this works on Horis so just want to make sure this works on this board as well. Thanks.

@GOGO.Zippy Are you going to have a solder free version of the PS3/PS4 PCB that uses screw-in terminals?

Would be nice to have screw-in terminals. But you should be able to solder a terminal on it if it doesn’t come with one.

IMO finding screw terminals in that pitch isn’t worth it as the ones I tried in the past broke easily. Either solder directly or use pin headers.

Any word on when these are expected to become available?

No word yet :frowning:
