I’ve noticed that a lot of the times diodes are needed when dual modding with a 3rd party Xbox one pad.
It happened with the hori
And it happened again with the rock candy
The issue is at least for my instance every time is that once the triggers are wired up. That the buttons remain active on 360 mode. Its a little odd but I have a ton of diodes for this.
I Aldo used a mini the other day and all 4 (lb,Lt,rt,rb) buttons were active so I tested out the stick on 360 mode one button at a time with diodes. Maybe this issue is specific to certain models of sticks? I’m not sure just wanted to share that info.
Tried to order some like this from Alibaba, but the manufacturer’s communication sucks. I was thinking of bulk ordering some and selling them from my site.
I’m extremely curious on the PCB. I had a bootleg PS3 controller years ago and it had via pad holes for every input, it was the easiest soldering job ever.
Definitely let us know what’s inside. I’m curious if it’s truly a PS360+ board in there and they’re reselling that with their own knockoff case, or if it’s some other board or a potential PS360+ bootleg.
Is there any way to mod a PS4 controller so that the L1 button preforms the same function as the down dpad button?
basically, i want both buttons to do the same thing-- be a down button
could i do this by rewiring my controller?
Theoretically yes.
In practice, it really, really, really hard to do.
What you are looking to do is cut traces on the circuit board inside your PS4 game pad, and rerouting the L1 button with some very thin wire, like 30 or even 32 gauge.
In the last ps4 update, Sony added a feature in the settings menu that actually allows you to remap your buttons. So you can make L1 be registered as down or whatever button you want. Only thing is I don’t think 2 buttons can be mapped to the same action.
I placed an order through Alibaba from a factory, which claims their controller won’t time out after 8 minutes, last week just got it in today.(still waiting on dhgate order) http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/150x100q90/540/AtxFHM.jpg
just have to test it out, and if it works attempt a hack.
@Gummo I just got two mkx ps4 pads. I want to put them in my 360 Madcatz V.S. sticks and be able to use the home button on the turbo panel.
I found this:
and was wondering if it would be fairly easy to do the same thing with the PDP MKX PS3/4 pad.
Thanks.
