It’s always been my experience that Spiral Doom can keep people away FOR DAYS. My problem with that team is that it doesn’t readily have a Cable answer.
silver samurai/strider/doom
it may seem awkard, but silver samurai’s proj + doom assist does alot of chipping. and sivler samurai’s shuriken super does MASSIVE chipping damage too.
Anyone try out Strider/Doom/Bison (Or Bison/Doom-- I forget the order of the last two in a team)? I swear the Psycho Field assist can work wonders, especially for newcomers who want to learn the basics of the attack. Fast, and Bison is a fast assist (he’s in, sends out the slowly moving ball, he’s out). I need to know more about Bison on point, though (Viscant swears Bison/Doom is real good, too)
Also, LOL at MJ avatar. What’s that, Michael Jackson’s capture assist that only works on little boys? :lol:
What can Bison do against top-tier?

That’s pretty much the standard in any Strider/doom team no matter how you look at it. Doom will always be the main assist the third character is just another asset for strider to use, but how good can strider benefit in the back? What second party member can depend on striders assist? No one. Sure it has it’s lucky shots but that’s just not pushing wait IMO, no one can just rely on strider as a descent alternate assist.
The thing that is degrading about this team is the fact that bowth Strider and Blackheart rely on two assist, they can’t practicaly handle a god with just one good assist -while Sentinel, Storm, clops, and maybe magnus & cable can handle with just one primary assist.

Yeah, but I think we’ve all heard the “she’s not what she used to be” speech about chun-li; so i’ll just spare us all that. I use Strider/Serv/Doom sometimes just to put my friends to shame.

That’s an interesting thought. But if you decided to make Doom second then you’d risk him coming out after being torn up as an assist.:eek:
I know this isn’t the right forum for this; but who are doom’s best partners. I usually focus on using Doom solo when I’m losing; or as a battery when I start him on my makeshift teams(and all I really do then is runaway and build meter:p )

IMO, best team with Doom on point is Team Keep-Away . Dr. Doom/Black heart/Cyclops. This team is fairly powerful if you are good at performing Doom/BH trap and its reverse. This team will get people incredibly pissed since they can’t get close to you and they’re zoned incredibly bad. So two best assists for Doom are Cyke AA and BH AA. Both can be put into a Strider/Doom team.
for a doom based team, i think you need storm 2nd. now you need an anti air. probably hmmmm… ironman. doom/storm/ironman aa :lol: there is no doom/anything combination that will save you from being ran over by mag/psy though
Personally, i think the best Doom team is Doom/Sent/Cyke. Thats team gives doom options against pretty much everyone of the big 4. although he’ll still get wrecked by sentinel. nonetheless, he gets a one hit kill, forcing the other guy to be more cautious with rushdown.
so then we’re back to where we started with s/d/sent or cyke for the third character. nice…
Doom/Sentinel/Commando is becoming more and more appealing to me.
