Things That Annoy You About Fighting Games and the People that Play Them

People who complain about SFIV’s models, Chun-Li has had man hands since Alpha, Cammy’s ass is fine, Ryu juiced a little, Honda has abs on his fat…

Ikeno is a damn good artist, leave him alone.

And black people.

Damn good thing we don’t have any black people on SRK. Everybody’s Japanese.

Tekken scrubs who send rage mail because you saw through their bullshit: Maybe if you stop spamming Law’s sweep, you would actually have a chance.

Stream Monsters who spam WHENZ MAHVAL SPOOBY PLS BibleThump :frowning:

And anyone who uses Bruce/Lili: Fuck you for using two characters I’m free against -_-

Things that piss me off, the obvious;

When people abuse handoken
When infrit has that demon look, it disturbs me
When Fchamp won’t take off his damn sunglasses while fighting.
When people hate on mortal kombat because it is old
When poeple use a Ryu|Ken team on Xtekken
When you lag online and can’t connect combos because your opponent is on dial-up mcdonalds wifi connection.

I hate that I can tech throws in every damn fighter except blazblue. Fucking hell.

Of all things to complain about blazblue that is the one thing? I just think blazblue is just flat out damn ridiculous. (In a good way)

When people sit there and use your own character on you but have no idea what the fuck their doing. I really really wonder y people do that?

Nope, just throws. Oh, and Arakune’s land shark. Fuck that move. I frequently tell my friend that we could be in evo grand finals, and he could beat me by just doing land shark over and over again.

It is. Dudes that created her SF4 model didn’t know what they were doing

Hey you could still be playing CT. lol j.B vs. jumping low mixup.

How the fuck can you not tech throws in BlazBlue? A game that even tells you that “hey, you can tech this throw right now.”

Why do you think I hate that?! >:( The tech window and indication should make it simple, but for some reason, I can’t tech for shit, even though I can even do it in Persona. It’s like some kind of reverse psychology shit or something. Make something easier so I’ll mess it up more often.

THROW REJECT!

LOL :clapdos:

to add to these

-the MvC1 ggpo community, and how they think they are godlike because they know how to do infinites with the help of macros and button bindings
-what’s left of the MvC2 community and how everyone goes “MvC3 sucks, bring back MvC2 as a tourney game” but no one wants to come out and play it, or worse, they leave DURING GRAND FINALS TO GO WATCH A MVC3 MONEY MATCH
-Vampire savior players and how they dont just call the game darkstalkers >:(
-Anime game players who get mad when people call their games anime games
-Capcom fanboys who pretend to be hype when they see a KOF/Tekken combo video but then go back to ABC combos in MvC3
-Myself, for going “KOF is too hard” and going back to MvC2

This.

Yes, my legitimacy in the fighting game community is determined by when I made my account on this fucking site.

People that you beat using a single move and then they talk shit about being better than you because they beat you four years ago.

spoken like a true post-09er >:(

WHAT AN ANSWER

Annoyed by execution fetishists and people who put links on pedestals (as a design choice).

EDIT - To clarify, if you want to, say, play Rufus in SF4, learn that useful s.LK to s.HP link, or if you’re playing Morrigan in UMvC3, learn how to fly/unfly cancel your fireballs. Play to win, or pick a character who is less execution-heavy.

HOWEVER, people who claim these execution fetish decisions are conducive to sound design – especially when backed by the “only people who can do those moves get an opinion” fallacy that holds no weight in objective reality – piss me off. And are dead wrong.

Fixed.

I really shouldn’t get peeved at this, but it still bugs me when I repeatedly run into the same player online and they are of a much higher skill level than myself (and don’t change their playstyle to match). At least when I play someone who doesn’t seem to know much I can tone down my competitive playing. I can’t do much more than attempt to learn against high tier people and inevitably take long combo strings while trying to tech the entire match, which is just kind of boring. Then again, it only makes it more magical when I do run into players where it’s an even match with a lot of back and forth action.

Also myself for picking Mitsuru pretty much constantly in P4A. I’ve never been into the “main character” concept and usually enjoy getting to know as many as I can (makes playing random doable, which I think is fun, though I do tend to have some minor favorites), but P4A broke me :frowning:
