The lesson from the Soul community is taht sometimes you really do just need somebody to take charge. Even though people don’t like banning characters, once there was somebody with the authority to say ‘yes there will be bans, here’s how it’s gonna be’, things started to improve some.
So you only play SFxT and TTT2?
Diego Umejuarez. I hate that nigga. And Noel Brown. FUCK HIM. Marvel 3 players who swear up and down that the game is the best thing since sliced bread or sex. People who defend SF X T. The game is bad. Deal with it. People who can’t see why Persona is good.
People who liked MK vs DC. All of those people should be sent to a work camp and starved.
Another thing that I find a little bit irritating are combo videos/trials.
The combo videos and the trials themselves provide players with plenty of clues of what you can get away with when you areplaying a character. The player needs to know good BnB’s and meter/meterless combo’s in order to capitalize
and maximize damage. But, there is a problem. What will the player know about the games system or mechanics? Because, I notice a lot of times I play CVS2 (and KOFXIII) at the cafe joint near where I live or online…
people start to get rather angrybecause they can not… use any of the said combos on you, whether it be from a combo video, the trials, or something they created. Yes, combos are a good idea. But, the only way you can use combos on me is if you… HIT ME FIRST. Hence, why you utilize hit confirms, baiting, reactions, punishes, proper spacing, and the like! Some individuals will go as far as to actually FORGET the most basic things during the fight and end up making very tragic mistakes. So while I am blocking, staying out of the
range of normals/specials, and poking my opponent to death - they’re busy trying desperately to land THAT ONE COMBO. Sometimes, even if they are LOSING. And, then when they do actually try to combo, they go for something completely impractical! The trials themselves are not even practical enough because they are either a huge waste of meter… or they require an unnecessary amount of work… or they don’t really that much damage.
Honestly. Would rather perform a… a five hit juggle combo into a super for one bar for 400+ damage? Or would you
go for 10 hit combo into a few EX moves and probably a Super for the same amount of damage?!
Because, if your in a competitive environment, it is usually not a good idea to go to that many lengths and take so many unnecessary risks when you are trying to win a match. It seems like most… new players and such, just say
"ooooh shit dat combo look tight let me try dat shit - i’ll be da best online warrior"
… Only to get smashed up the very next minute because of that mentality. Then they get mad and even try accuse YOU of “playing like scrub” of all things - was the player MEANT to… stand their and let you hit them??? Hm?
Now. The combos themselves? Practical BnB’s, some TOD’s, and good set-ups for good damage? Yes! Go for it!
By all means! But, the only way you can truely utilize the said combos if you understand the fundamentals and
develope a proper strategy and execution for you to achieve such a goal.
(Um… then again. Most of the people that do try to play CVS2 with me are not really that good, except for my friends ofcourse, but it is still quite liberating to play CVS2 with many other people, I’ll admit - I am pretty adament about having CVS2 for PSN/XBL… heh… heh…)
Your ugly font annoys me.
Lmao. He’s coming in with dem gamefaqs fonts.
Aw really? That’s too bad. Because quite frankly…

Combo vids were never for practical stuff, they were made to show stuff you wouldn’t normally see or to push the game to the limit. Sometimes you can pull things from the videos and make them practical with a few changes or no changes but they are more of a “look what I can do when in a controlled environment”.
I see. Oh well. Guess it is up to the player to figure that point out. Innovating the combos from the said videos… or trials for more practical causes are a good thing.
I so freaking wholeheartedly agree with this. I absolutely hated that game.
What the fuck is with that font?
You guys can’t just now be complaining about this.
I hate the fact that people treat video games as if it’s the fucking Hunger Games.
I do have to admit I can sympathize with people who know a bunch of combos but get mad that they can’t do them in a match. In at least my case when that used to happen it annoyed me because it felt like all the time I’d put into mastering them and all the time I’d spent practicing was just getting erased and was all for nothing.
holy shit when I read that font I thought I was reading a jchensor post about xvsf
nick, you know I love you man, but your sig is terrible.
jealousy isnt healthy
He’s only had that since his previous account has been banned… yeah, jealousy isn’t healthy.
wasn’t banned, it just broke. 2 minute load times with a 60% chance of just failing don’t a good look make.
(don’t wanna do a thing, but that kind of talk can actually cause me a lot of grief so I’d rather avoid it)
edit: whew made it back!

Silly xes, you’re supposed to do loops in game, not in the forum. :razzy:
