The Zero MvC3 "Team" Thread

not derp =/= not great

So I have 2/3 people found out for my team. Zero-Y/Frank-A/???

Who should be the anchor? I was thinking Wesker or Strider. Thoughts?

If you want to work hard, strider.

If you don’t want to work as hard, wesker. :stuck_out_tongue:

man Im really having a hard time again, Ive been playing Zero/doom/vergil for a long time, but yesterday I tried dante anchor just for jam session, and that thing is so godlike for doom and zero, i dont even know now. Who would u prefer derp dark vergil? or so-so dark dante but with jam session?

wellwith vergil are you using his rapidslash as an approach-assist? you can probably confuse alot of people with mixing up vergil assist with M. lightning.

i think dante’s assist is just easier to understand how to abuse. the vergil timing might be a little harder to mixup

also do you use missles for extender? if you dont you should def. use plasma beam thats an easy abusable mixup tool

I was thinking of this today at work. Strider is hard to use, but I think he could be fun and he can also barley get around bullet hell from Morrigan. Wesker has a very hard time getting around bullet hell. Strider can also help Zero AND Frank combo out too.

oh yeah I use Doom (Plasma) and either Vergil (rapid slash) or Jam session dante.

I think it is important to have a stable of characters you can mix into teams. I use Zero Doom Vergil Strider Dog and I just kinda mix them into teams depending on how I feel about a match. It helps that they are all really good characters that play well with everyone. Having just one team is a real big handicap. Even if it is a real solid handle-anything team it is nice to have easy counterpicks if you need that extra edge.

That’s what I did in MvC2 with Guile, Charlie, Ironman and Cable. You’d be surprised at how good Charlie was against Mags.

If I were to do that with UMVC3, I’d probably be Zero, Viper, Doom, Strider, Nova, Hawkeye, and RR. Ironman and Cap get cut just because they rely too much on Sent to get offense started.

My team is Zero(Hadangeki), Dante(Jam Session), and Hawkeye(Quick Shot Greyhound)

Pretty broken team if used right :3

Zero/Dante is great, Hawkeye is not an optimal 3rd character for this team IMO.

i don’t see why not, hawkeye provides a nice ‘beam-like’ assist mixup for zero. then you have dante for extender.

xf gimlet all day

Strider and doom missles say hello.

Sigh…can I just pick 3 zeros…?

<_<

3 Zeros would suck. That team would have no synergy whatsoever.

Way to go buzzkillington.

Zero, Dante, Magneto is hands down the best zero team imo. There is so much unexplored Jam session mix-ups that people haven’t explored that i am aware of. To bad i don’t have a camera >.<. I think maybe masa blade showed a couple but there is way more depth to those mixups.

It’s what I’m here for.

I completely agree. Team Frieda ftw. If only learning Dante and Magneto weren’t so hard :frowning:

Also, I don’t think Flocker is using his team, Zero/Vergil/Hawkeye, to it’s most ridiculous full potential. I felt disappointed when he kept switching to that cop out team of Zero/Doom/Phoenix at UFGT. Especially when he played against Chris G

You’re right. But it would be pretty amazing and pretty! <_<
Don’t lieeee <3

Zero and Firebrand have great synergy together especially if Firebrand is in a non-luminous body state. Since Firebrand penetrates easier than a lubed up penis entering a wet vagina, you can keep Zero safe in second position while FB breaks defenses. FB’s Bon Voyage is an extremely good move that auto-drags opponent’s to the corner (Zero’s optimal range).

The awesome thing about Bon Voyage is that if you cancel it into Luminous Body and then into Zero’s Songemu, you are basically guaranteed a free mix-up/combo if properly assisted (since FB’s Bon Voyage causes a sky-high wall bounce and a hard knockdown)

Also FB is a character that can build meter because he doesn’t need Luminous Body (Speed Up Hyper) in order to create dirty mix-ups. A good Firebrand can usually kill off one character, and then have about 3 bars of meter to spare for the incoming opponent. If FB sets up an Unblockable (fully charged Demon Missile H) on hit he can cancel into Luminous Body -> Zero Songemu while the opponent is still in massive hitstun. Also the Unblockable Demon Missile H is a single hit move that does 120,000 on contact.

I’m a Zero noob (literally all I do is LMHSMMHS) but with the set-up I mentioned I was zipping through my opponents.

P.S. I do main Firebrand so I can somewhat vouch for the synergy between the two.
