What do you guys think of Zero / Morrigan / Dante… played lame out style with Zero to build meter for Morrigan and then also to spam Sougenmou? Jam session is pretty good for morrigan, seems to cover some of her weak areas.

I thought about running Zero / Dante / Vergil but I really like Vergil / Dante much better than Dante / Vergil, but I don’t like having Dante last much these days.

With Zero / Dante / Strider, I don’t think the meter management is really all that strict at all. Just hit them, do lightning loop, kill them. You can use Dante as more of a battery and go for resets if you want, or just say fuck it and play Dante with Strider assist and spend meter as needed. Strider is plenty strong without oroboros in XF3 to not really need meter.

Plus the pairings are just godlike. You have the best assist for Zero, the best assist for Dante, and one of the best anchors in the game. It’s so collapsible, you’re never in a bad spot.

I think Jam Session is Strider’s best assist. Strider can do anything with that assist.

Zero gives Magneto TODs. He has not 1, but actually 4 different ways to set it up that I know:

• Vanilla Raw Tag Combo
• TAC that doesn’t care about HSD.
• Hypergrab “DHC Glitch”
• Combo in Corner > Backdash X2 > Shockwave > Sougenmu DHC > TK Raikouzen

Attraction + Ryuenjin is pretty good, not as good as Attraction + Jam Session, but still pretty nice. You also have the Ryuenjin invinsible Alpha Counter to work with. You just have to be, emmm, “creative” about it, I guess. Some Psylocke styled mixups are available with Magneto and Ryuenjin because of it’s vertical hitbox and long hitstun (pretty long actually). Also having Sougenmu to safely DHC out of a desperate Shockwave is great (or even get a combo of it if you;re close to the corner). There’s also combo extensions with it, but there are pretty useless seeing how going to a LL setup is better IMO.

Great duo, especially when finished with Dante on the team. I think I finally decided on a team, and it’s going to be one of my old vanilla teams. Also the three characters are very stylish and different, so it’s a very fun team (funner than Sentinel combos for sure).

i feel like zero could start a LL from tempest but im not at home to test. some like ryuenjin buster cancel

Replace Dante with Doom and it’s a wrap. I think Dante could work also, but I don’t think he protects Morrigan as well as Hidden Missiles.

Hopefully I’ll have time to get back in training and tournies again soon. So I’ve been thinking about all the Zero teams I’ve run and have settled on these to try:

Zero/Nova/Strider
Zero/Ironman/Strider - DO NOT sleep on Tony Friggin’ Stark and his stupid Repulsar assist
Zero/Viper/Strider
Zero/Doom/Strider
Zero/Morrigan/Doom

One character I haven’t tried enough that I’d like to is Super Skrull. I was hype for him in vanilla but just never spent a ton of time with him.

This is truth. Repulsor assist is especially stupid on welcome mixups. If you time it right you can use it to cover j.M xx H-Raikousen xx Buster, L-Raikousen, TK-L-Raikousen during a welcome mixup. The Repulsor should end just as the last Raikousen starts hitting (I think).

That’s a front-hit and then 3 back-to-back crossups and they can’t see any of it. If your opponent blocks that you should probably start praying to them for world peace or something.

Only thing about Ironman are his hit confirms. I think if I go forward with Zero/Ironman (which is a strong possibility because IM is so fun), I’ll have to drop Strider.

ive always wanted to pick up ironman as well, but without sentinel i feel like hes garbage which limits my options for a team significantly. magneto ironman sentinel (jokers team), zero ironman sentinel, etc. basically i wanna make 3 teams where the point character gets stupid good assists so i can cover ANY matchup between those teams with efficiency… right now i have zero dante vergil obviously and viper magneto sentinel, but like i said i wanna try running jokers team cuz its retardedly good and keep the viper team. that way im prepared for any player with top tier chars… my only concern is well, ironman not being a very good character BUT ive NEVER touched him so im only going by what ive heard. what do you guys think?

Zero/Ironman/Sent is a very good team, one I messed with a lot and took online for a while. My only problem with it is that I don’t like Sentinel anchor.

Off the top of my head, I think Taskmaster, Magneto, and Akuma could be great anchors for Zero/Ironman.

i always figured ironman’s neutral game is very weak without drones, which is why i wanna put them together. prove me wrong? lol

You still get tons of damage from the other methods:

• Raw Tag = 1,080.000
• Semi-DHC Glitch = 900.000
• Shockwave>Sougenmu - 950.000
• TAC UP = 1,080.000

I recently fell in love with with Zero / Virgil / Wesker. Zero has always been by far my best char and i just dropped task and sent for virgil and wesker. If possible could I get some tips/feedback?

imo, no particular order:
zero dante vergil
zero dante magneto
zero dante sentinel
zero magneto sentinel

and a couple others. basically zero dante rules the world

Add Zero Doom Sent and Zero Doom Ammy. I’m thinking about switching to the latter since Doom/Ammy is soooooooo gooood and Zero benefits greatly from Ammy assist

I’m leaning towards Zero/Dante/Doom but that’s because I’m far more comfortable with that team than I am with having Strider or Sentinel on for example.
Soon as my sabbatical’s over I’ll be looking into Ammy, Trish and Felicia. Reckon Zero/Dante/Felicia could be a whole load of derp but not quit sure how I’d be using Felicia to help me get in from full screen.

hey man, if dante isnt working out for you dont sweat it. zero can definitely work without jam session or drones, he just wont be as stupid. ZVM sounds good to me
