I don’t really like Zero / Sent that much. The pressure is nice but I like having a long range immediate assist. Zero to me feels like someone that needs immediacy with his assists, for pressure and for combos. Plus sentinel stays on the screen too damn long.
This is how I feel too, thats why I use Magneto/Zero/Doom-a. And also become Doom is my man from MVC2

There are a lot of ways Sent can help out Zero. His assist makes his corner pressure incredibly dangerous. Zero can use the command dash between drones to cross up. Zero can extend his combos with the drones, even late in the combo. Rekkoha DHC to Plasma Storm is very damaging. TAC’ing to Sent in the corner gets a ton of extra damage and 2-3 extra meters. Zero’s assist also work well with Sentinel, and can DHC to each other very well.
But really, it’s the corner pressure that Zero benefits the most from with Sent assist. On a snap back or , you can backdash, call drones, super jump level 3 buster into anything and there’s no way out of it (unless they have an invincible air super, Sentinel, Phoenix) Mix up with the drones or with Zero after and you can kill.
Yeah that’s pretty much why I dropped Sentinel for Doom. Sentinel’s assist is good for Tron’s combos, but I can do my same Tron BnB with Zero’s assist so that doesn’t matter. Doom’s Plasma Beam is really fast too, which is good for both Tron and Zero.
Sentinels drones are too valuable to drop for an instant assist. If you drop sent you lose an assist that buys you 2 to 4 seconds of free mix up time. But if you really don’t want sentinel id suggest a beam assist that doesn’t knock them in the air to much to help continue combos. Zero and mag/iron/task/doom is honestly a good replacing assist for sentinel.

Starting to use a Magneto(Alpha)/Zero(Gamma)/Wesker(Beta) team. I used to have Zero on point but I feel my defense isn’t too hot since he gets killed way too easily. Magneto will be used to build meter and DHC trick, and I feel he’s a better point character right now. Wesker will be anchor since I feel he’s unbelievably scary with LVL3 XF is he’s the last character remaining. Still need to learn Magneto properly with his loops, fly combos etc, so it will be awhile until I feel confident with this team. What do you guys think of this team?
This is my secondary team and it can be very scary. If you get one little unblockable that character is dead if he’s at least at midscreen or in the corner (DHC Glitch). Magneto can “pass” the DHC Trick to both Zero can Wesker, and Wesker sets up some nasty stuff for Zero. Very solid team but doesn’t have any defensive or powerful field assist such as Doom-a, Sent-a and Sent-b, Tron-b etc
Magneto is able to kill from a grab in the corner, which is pretty scary.
Thanks for the feedback, I used to have Wesker/Zero/Sent_Doom but I feel that Sent gets raped by a lot of the cast due to instant overheads and as an assist he stays on the screen for far too long, which is quite dangerous if he gets hit (Health Nerf=Dead). Doom, I simply can’t use him for the life of me but man, his beam assist was so good. I find that Zero is my best character and once he is gone, I felt as though I’ve lost the match already. I’m more of an offensive player and tend to rushdown all the time, Zero with Shippuga assist will allow Magneto to cover gaps in his assault and Wesker gunshot can allow for more re-launch OTG setups and mixups. Just need to get confident using Magneto on point.
Hey guys, I’m pretty new around here and I’m getting into MvC3 a lot lately. I still need a lot of work though, haha. I like Zero on point because he builds meter like crazy, has easy chainable combos. I like having Akuma for #2 and Dante/Cap for the Assist spot. I like just getting guys airborne with Zero, using Sentsuizan to re-initiate ground combos. Also like doing Hienkyaku (light) to further inflict some carnage by getting behind someone while doing a combo. I find that once Airborne with Zero, I Aerial combo in Akuma, use his Messatsu/Tenma-Gohado Ungyo, then DHC back into Zero for his Rekkoha.
As many people have said before, any DHC-Trick able character should be first than Zero so you take advantage of that. I would recommend switching to Dante/Zero/Akuma. Akuma is a great anchor with Lv.3 XF.
I wish Capcom announced if the glitch is going to be patched, because we are going to see a lot of team changes if it does, so if they announce it early, people can prepare.
What the hell is a such glitch anyways ?

It’s the same speed as Doom’s :(.
I don’t know the frames of start up of unibeam and plasma beam (post these please), but the animation of iron man’s assist is much more evident and easy to react to.
Iron man has also 50K health less than Doom and beside that Iron man is an overall worse anchor and character than Doom.
Dante(Jam session)/Zero(Hadangeki)/Magneto(dat disruptah) is my current team, disruptor assist is pretty good, but Id like to try more chars as an anchor, as most of you said, Zero needs a quick assist to let him and and start his BS. Any good ideas? (oh and i dont like sent and ironman, personal thing) maybe tron?
EDIT: I love how Zero can literally destroy entire teams when he gets the momentum and its paired with good assist, its so satisfying

Umm you could try dantes ice assist. That’s pretty fast and it clutters the screen. Also if it hits em you have like 2 full seconds I think to combo off it

Im going to try mag/zero/ and for an anchor either sent/wesker/dorm or wolves. Mag as a battery and an easy touch of death. Zero to use some of the meter and clean up shit also as his srk aa assist ( which honestly is such a good assist ) then a strong anchor
