thats actually not a bad idea, and I get OTG for magneto if I want to do HG xx tempest. and yeah Magneto has to go first, the threat of anything into DHC trick is too good to let it go.
My current Zero team is a sub-team I use for fun: Crimson Viper (Burn kick), Zero (Ryuenjin), Taskmaster (Horizontal aim master)
Viper Zero has nasty death combos together thanks to the maximal amount of damage off of their DHC. Task arrows are an incredibly fast horizontal assist that doesn’t knock off the ground and makes it easy mode for Zero to mix up with them, with burn kick he has a lot of unblockable set ups, especially when using L2 buster shots to control space and prevent counterpoking. All 3 characters DHC into each other well and mix up at any point with 2 characters alive is strong. Ryuenjin covering gaps in Task pressure can be very strong for making him more offensive and helps him put enemies in block stun to re-establish zoning if that’s the preferred game plan
it seems that the guy from this vid read your post

Did two quick random matches to show how my team works together (Zero / Hulk / Wesker). I usually do better with Hulk, but w/e. At least I got a long Zero combo in the first one.
Seems to have strong synergy and kills pretty effectively. Have to be very quick with Zero’s reactions, though.

a friend of mine wants to play Zero and wants to pair him with chun li, its that a good idea or should I suggest him another partner?
She is a good partner. If he doesn’t like Chun later, suggest Ammy.
Since yesterday I made lots of discoveries and have a new Zero team!
Dormamu (Dark Hole), Zero (Ryuenjin), Taskmaster (Horizontal arrows)
For dormamu:
You have when shadowed a good get off me assist, and a horizontal space control/block stun/mad chip assist. Control space and chip with holes, purification, dark spells, amazing normals etc any time arrows are blocked that’s either free heavy damage chip + pushing them out or dark spells. Ryuenjin sets up chaotic flame or dark spells perfectly and extends combos fairly easily as well, if you touch a character they’ll take massive damage and getting in on you is incredibly difficult. DHCs are amazing for him, any time someone teleports or something similar to get in floating bomb DHC into Sougenmu guarantees Zero’s solo unblockable and is 100% safe, against highly invincible things that move forward double DHC from floating to sougenmu to counter gives you shadowed Zero and punishes their move and depending on how much time you had means that after counter super they eat floating bomb and you can do Task relaunch! O_o
Zero on point: Zero can build himself a full gauge in 1 block string with these assists and push people toward the corner very fast, Arrows following up L3 buster shot set ups let you do massive damage and combo from full screen set ups, both of the assists can be used for Zero’s OTG into relaunch, everything helps him on pressure controlling space and getting in. Although arrows give you less mix ups than drones they’re dramatically safer and starting your mix up is more assured thanks to how quickly they come out and everything they’ll beat/eat in the process Dark hole also makes seeing some of Zero’s mix up with 2369A, A and 2147A, 2A mix up incredibly scary and on hit or block you can follow up into big damage especially if Taskmaster hasn’t died. You have amazing DHCs with both characters obviously chaotic flame DHC is incredibly fast, Dorm level 3 is incredibly invincible, Floating bomb following up Rekoha puts them in a position where you have a lot of guaranteed chip as they come down etc. Into Taskmaster up arrows after Rekoha can be combod after and do insane damage, counter super DHC gets you out of situations while getting shadows in the process.
Taskmaster on point:
He’s very self sufficient without assists as anchor, but if your other 2 are alive and he’s in because of DHCs and the like he’s still incredibly scary. Ryuenjin and Dark hole fill the openings in his block string and when timed right get him his unblockable, they let him throw out shield skills which is an amazing move more often since they make it 100% safe and lead into large chip from either hole + arrows or Ryuenjin + arrows, and if it hits he gets to combo after it too! With DHC into Rekoha he can break 1 million damage pretty quickly and with DHC into Sougenmu he can bring Zero in while they’re in block stun from arrows as a safe way to get Zero pressure going for free, off up arrows into Zero you get yet again free unblockables. With Dormamu DHCs anyone you hit from arrows into arrows super into chaotic flame takes incredibly stupid damage for something full screen, and if you X-factor Chaotic flame again it kills tons of characters.
Over all this team is way scarier than I assumed it would be and no matter where it’s at it has the chance to dominate!
Im working on Storm/Zero for now cause the DHC trick. Im still anchoring sent but he gets picked off to easily as an assist. So Im gonna go for storm/Zero/Dorm for a bit. Any one else use this team?
I do. I swapped Mag for Storm cuz I don’t wanna be called a Marn biter lol. Mag is kind of better than Storm to me but Storm’s mixup is a lot more legit than Mags and her DHC glitch is too easy. And Sent + Storm + corner = RAPE. Zero’s uppercut assist seems to work decent with ths team to either control space or function as an invincible assist if you have poewred up Zero. I like the team I just need to actually play some people so I can get a better feel on how to move around. Storm being able to float and call assists is the shit tho, wish others could do that
Hey Kef, still waiting for those frame data of unibeam and plasmabeam as assists
xD! Bro you should’ve told me earlier cause I have the guide at home.
I am in school now so I can’t tell you right now, but if I remember correctly they are the same damage, Iron-Man-b is a little faster (like 5 frames) but Doom recovers like 1 frame before IM’s.
I’ll edit this when I get the exact frame data.
I’m curious what you guys think of Deadpool/Zero team synergy. I personally like using the katanarama assist. I know Zero can OTG on his own in the corner, but this helps him OTG from anywhere on the screen and doesn’t cause hardly any damage scaling. Their DHC synergy doesn’t work good enough unless it’s Cuttin Time DHC glitch to Sougenmu. Only works when Deadpool is backed into a corner. The only real reason I keep Deadpool with Zero is for the katanarama assist and to help Deadpool’s zoning with the sougenmu assist powered up.Your thoughts?
EDIT: I can see cuttin time working if I can do a long damaging combo with Sougenmu from mid screen. Any one know any Sougenmu mid screen combos?
Ok, but remember that Iron man’s unibeam assist is alpha not beta.
Im using All Alpha Assist, Storm/Zero/Wolverine. I can ABUSE the fuck out of the DHC glitch, I only works off storm though…
SO my Main strategy is Go with storm Build meter then DHC glitch Into Zero ( OR wolverine depending on the order ) Im still working on the order also so anyways… DHC glitch, Into wolve or Zero and Kill a character pretty much, Easily do 1 Mil. Also Both Wolve and Storm assist help extend Zeros combos ( Wolves is a bit harder but im working on it ) SO heres an easier description
Start match> Build meter> DHC glitch to Zero> Kill of a character> Mix up on there come in ( Im working on an Unblockable/Gaurd break Ill share that soon ) Combo with zero while using Storms assist to continue combos. If somehow Zero dies I can repeat this process but instead of Zero I use Wolverine. IM still working on Super Synergy besides the DHC trick but its a heavy Mix up/Rush down team. Usually Im left with Storm or Wolve at the end ( Zero will always and should Die hes your Go all out till death character, Either he dies or your opponent does ) X factor Storm/Wolve/Zero are all Solid anchors also depending who Im left with but X factor lv 3 Storm Can chip out a Whole team honestly. So whatchu Guys think?
My first post on SRK, woo!
Hello all,
I’ve been using a Dante (Weasel Shot), Zero (Hadangeki), Trish (Peek-a-boo) team with success. I use Dante on point but I tend to DHC pretty early in the match and get good ol’ Zero in and start with some serious corner game. Dante helps Zero extend his combos pretty well with Weasel Shot after Zero’s OTG and is my answer to keepaway characters (Magneto be damned!). Weasel Shot also helps me land cross-overs and mix-ups. Trish has served me as a ridiculously good anchor and her Peek-a-boo helps Zero keep characters in the corner and gives him precious extra seconds to extend combos. Also, Trish’s assist tends to keep incoming characters from pressing buttons so Zero can back them into the corner and continue his reign of terror. I do realize that this team doesn’t have much going for it in terms of defense, but I believe that the best defense is having a better offense than your opponent.
If anybody has any thoughts or comments on this team, like how to improve it or mix it up a bit, it will be appreciated.
I had a sweet team idea last night out of nowhere, tried it online, and had some relative success. Zero Doom(beam) Phoenix!
Really the main weakness was that I?d never used Phoenix before. I just had the idea that Zero w/ Doom beam could likely build massive meter quickly, and I was pretty much right. Check out some of Justin Wong?s Zero Felicia Doom games to reference how the meter ideally gets built. Admittedly the goal is purely to get 5 bars for Phx, then any extra damage done is a bonus. As it stands I suck w/ Phoenix, but the Zero Doom duo does a hell of a job setting up funtimes for someone who doesn?t. Thoughts?
Zero and doom work well together imo. Only thing is zero can get killed easily and too my knowledgde isnt as good a meter builder

The Zero Dante Akuma team J Wong and Marn were playing at WNF this week looked real solid. Trying it out now but having some problems with extended combos.
That’s funny, Lunar, because I was wondering about WNF this week (cant find results anywhere!) and when I was messing w/ that team last night I was thinking if I wanted to play something like it but w/o Phx, that the best bet would be Zero Doom Akuma. Would love to see footage of Justin and Marn playin’ that team.
Zero not good at building meter? He’s just so “in there,” and his normals hit multiple times, Doom’s beam hits multiple times. I could be wrong about it, but in theory fighter, he builds great meter <shrug>
my team is arthur/zero/phoenix. Arthur on point until I can golden armor for either daggers against strong projectile users (his daggers will beat every other projectile assist in gold armor) otherwise flame bottle for very nice mix ups. In case phoenix ever dies both zero and arthurs level 3 hypers will also hit assists. Arthur is a really good anchor and imo the best keepaway character. Phoenix however is my best character(normal even) but always nice to have a back up plan
