Naw. There are subgroups in the wrestling world. The IWC are the douche bag elitists who think they’re too good to watch wwe yet they still watch it just to shit on the product. They think they’re netter fans than anyone else because they go to local indies or have talked to wrestlers on twitter or irl. They think their opinion of wrestling is above all else’s. So on and so forth. The IWC won’t shut the fuck up about AEW despite them having done nothing to prove themselves as a promotion.
“But they have a huge backer!” So did wcw. So did tna.
“But they have an amazing roster!” So did wcw, Ecw and tna.
So on and so forth.
The IWC think AEW is God’s gift to wrestling and it’s fucking silly and stupid

You will find a few guys like this in any place online that discusses wrestling. Even in the most casual of places like twitter and facebook. The term is obsolete as fuck.
Twitter is def not casual in terms of prowrestling. I follow a few groups n people usually the gif makers. And those comment sections are hell
I mean in general the wrestling community is one of the most toxic communities I’ve ever been apart of. It’s why I only talk about wrestling to a very few select people.
I can’t even talk wrestling with my friends back in Seattle anymore because they’ve become the guys I just bitched about. Thinking they’re better fans because you met/“know” a wrestler, have a local Indy fed, watch new japan and acting like it’s tje second coming of Christ, constantly shit on wwe, won’t stfu about the elite and AEW, etc.
I remember I posted on fb about going to a SDL house show last year and every single one of them shit on it and me for wanting to go. After that I was like “aight. I’m done talking to them about wrestling”
