Why People say that S-groove sucks:

I don’t think any groove in CVS2 sucks. The game’s evolved where anyone can play anyone, except kyosuke.
Yeah Kyosuke-Groove is horrible.
kyosuke is more playable than king imo.
in fact i think kyosuke is alright(not tourney worthy) but still plyable.
Kyosuke is a character playing just for fun. I thinks his one of the worst characters in the game.

I play a good S on Xbox Live. S-Terry is good, S-Rock, and a bunch of other mentioned characters. It’s a fine groove. It has it’s strengths and weaknesses like other grooves do. Personally, I find S a speed/mindgame groove, as opposed to a K where it’s about the damage and JDing. Really, when you play S-hroove you want your opponent to think “Is he going to dodge this time? Or Counter it? Should I anticipate a dodge and throw him?” You have to keep him guessing, so that you can just find the sweet spot and take it. No, you don’t do loads of damage, and cancel 16 specials into a super. I think that to play S effectivly you have to really think. You have to get into his mind and eat it out form the inside, rendering him weak and useless.
How can you say that? A-groove is one of the most scariest groove. When you just hit CC its almost over IF he miss over you.
i just want people to know i’ve been able to start my own small business from winning money matches against LZJ in CVS2 with S Groove

Some devastating S character (IMO) are M. Bison, Morrigan, Rock, Iori, fireball scrubs etc.
Plus when M. Bison dodges, charges up ya fucked. S Groove Bison rules. I kinda favor him over A Groove bison. Morrigan is good, throw a super fireball(s), if tehy jump it Cardinal Blade, the whole scrub thing, unless they dodge or roll.
Plus some people have good S-Groove combos.
I remeber do that super kick with Kim that juggles them, then using a Lv1 super (forgot which 1 it was)
Or a lv3 One For The Road Blast, charge, Lv3 Maiden Masher weith Iori, not completley useful btu the fact u can use 2 level 3 supers is cool if ya ask me.

Damn. Anyway S-groove doesn’t suck, S-morrigan does though. Rock is okay, dodge kick is crap. Any combo S can do N can too.
S groove does give u an chance agsinst A groove because u can infinately dodge when they activate. also dodge attacks have enough priority(or speed, whatever)2 knock them out of thier activation or at least trade(which is still good).
i gave s groove a shot today on live, its kinda fun cause you end up with more tricks with charging and dodging. far from doing much dmg with it though still it seems like a very underestimated groove worthy of playing with.
S-groove Duck knock-out punch was good. I think that all, his charging meter really sucks. I played S-groove few times, Even I used Sagat Cammy and Athena I can’t win.
LOL, I still have that interview with you saying you would beat Josh with a random Ratio 1 P groove character at that one tourny. But I don’t think you ever did. :tdown:
if u suck with it just dont use it. Why do u have to tell the world that u suck with S groove. if u look REALLY carefully ther are 5 other grooves that u may suck with

Buy hey just cause he sucks with s groove doesnt mean the groove it self sucks, sounds like he follows the blanka/sagat/bison trend. Then again thats just my opinion as well.
