The Worst Groove is S Groove

s groove is the worst groove. there are some times it doesnt seem so bad but in the end it isnt as good as the other grooves. i dont think any important tournaments will be won by s groove because i think it is a bad groove. i think a groove is the best groove and s groove is the worst groove. c groove and k groove are almost as good as a groove and n groove and p groove are almost as bad as s groove but s groove is the worst in my opinion. what does everyone else think.

Ok, S is the worst groove, A is the best. What’s your point? S-groove is still dope as hell. It’s still usable, and very annoying to fight period. I personally think S-Cammy is the most annoying Cammy there is. It’s still mainly the player, then the groove in the long run. If you take advantage of all S has to offer with the right characters, you’ll have a very formidable team.

S owns you all…those who hate it fear it…Play me…I challenge any time.

:s:

come to NEC5 i’ll play you.

If I had the time I would…I guess “S” sucks then…lol…I guess you’ll never know until you play a good one. Yeah S is under rated but we are like Jedi…few but strong.

 -B.

May the charge be with you, lol.

i’ve played a good S groove before. The best S groove in the United States. hahahahaha. for real hes dope. but the groove is still inferior.

You played Dr B?

I hear that soul requiem guy is dope with S-groove.

s-groove certainly aint as good as the other grooves but i dnt fink it sucks, athena is quite deadly in s-groove. I personally dnt fink c and n-grooves’s r better then k-groove, turtle k-groove players are almost unstoppable, e.g ino

Only good s.char is Cammy imo. Sagat is only good against big people, and Blanka’s dodge moves are shit.

s-groove can be deadly when played by the a person that put a lot of time into it (dr. b, peachy). The groove hasn’t really been explored as much as c,a,n due to the fact that not many people want to put the time into the groove. Just give it time and hopefully some more open minded players (players that want to try something new) will bring out some of the dopest shit. You will never know, all the stuff that has been used with s so far is really basic, just wait until more advance tatics are found.

ino turtles in k-groove? nigga what?

Yes, he is very dope. I played him in tournaments a few times before, and his S is no joke. Definately the best S groover I have played against, but I have only played against a few good ones (misconceptn and soul requiem). But yeah, S groove can be crazy to play against, no doubt.

You got to be kidding. Eagle/Raiden/Bison/Sak/Chun/Athena/Yama/Sim/Shotos and a couple others are really good in S-groove. Cammy is without a doubt the best character in S though, Athena is overrated. She’s good, yeah. Deadly? No. As for Sagat being good only vs big characters, that wrong big time. Sagat is Sagat, bottom line. Versus big characters he only becomes more deadly with his dodge punch. His dodge kick is real good, it has about the same reach as his s.mp and I believe no one can duck it. Blanka’s dodge moves do suck, but infinite supers are really annoying.

Are there any inside secrets to S-groove?

Fact or Myth: With Chun-Li, you can do a very brief charge when you wake up in order to avoid a cross-up attack. Follow up with c. mp or something since you can cancel charge instantly. Sounds harder than what it’s worth, but is it even true in the first place?

S-Sagat is definitely good…his dodge punch only hits certain characters, but guess what, you’re gonna be playing against hundreds of R2 Sagats, so guess what, S-Sagat is top tier…

There is no Worst Groove or Best Groove CVS2 had these groove so they can attract different game players to this game.

IMO
C-groove most likely players who play SF alpha series
A-groove SF alpha 2 Custom Combos
P-groove SF alpha 3 with Parry
S-groove KOF 94 - 96 dodge, chargeable special and infinite special for blinking life
N-groove Kof 98 Roll, counter by using special and break bar for Lv3 specials
K-groove Samurai Showdown, Just Defend

i think CVS2 did a great job by making all these groove and giving players who dosent play ne capcom games and ppl who dosent play SNK games a Challenge

In my opinion Wassabi has stated the most educated and logical answer…all grooves are good…it’s the player who makes it tight or not.

While it’s true they are all good, there will always be a best and worst. This is pretty much true of anything, for example, say SF3:3s consisted of only Dudley and Chun-li. Chun-li would be the best character and Dudley would be the worst. Does that mean Dudley’s not good? No, but he would still be the worst character.

It’s really not about it being the worst groove, so much as it being tougher to use because you have to think about your meter and play at the same time, as opposed to every other groove whose meter fills naturally as you play.
