doing dp’s on ggpo isnt all as easy as it seems. there are reasons to do a dp at the last possible moment for dmg and for invincibility frames. although ggpo is awesome, it does lag. just a hair lag in any game based on reactions is gonna change it dramatically. for this reason gief, rose, and chun are very difficult to beat online. as if they werent hard enough not online, they are that much worse. gief jumps in a such a bitch to uppercut online. anyways, i doubt its user error for doing dp’s, but who knows. it is what it is, the best online gaming format for SF ever, but still like anything else, minor flaws.
Chun’s ridiculous CC makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
I think it’s the emulator being used that’s causes that, I think the dead zone in the program is to big. for what ever reason it doesn’t seem to register inputs, particularly dp and supers.
I don’t know, I seem to be able to do everything fine when I run the emu in offline mode. Once I get online, things become much more difficult.

I think the only reason birdie was so high up in japan ranking is cause his cc. I just build meter and wait for fuck up, then bam 80-85% of their life gone. Not to mention a fast overhead, that can combo into a knockdown. Birdie is playable IMO vs alot of the characters, he has some things going for him. Sim is close to hopeless to fight against though, lol.

cross-up mk, c.mp xx shadow, walk forward c.fp xx rh drill or
cross-up mk, c.fp xx shadow, cc.
Also LMAO at saying birdie had weak ccs.

how do you do CC combos in this game? like when I do a super its just the super but people I play do all of these Custom combos
Press 2P and 1K buttons (or 2K and 1P).
In Alpha 2 Gold, you can do them VC-style (press P+K of the same strength).

Yeah man, totally. It’s like CPU Ken will do a Jab Shoryuken, then a Strong, then a Fierce, whether they’re hitting or not. How are you supposed to stop a CPU opponent doing DP’s from full-screen for no reason!! Cheapness galore.
