The World of Street Fighter Alpha 2

Anyone have good strategy, combos or tactics for Sakura…i think she’s not bad in the right hands…

Thanks!

How bad is Dan in SFZ2?
Also how would the tier list be for SFZ2 Alpha?

He’s not that great due to limited options…definately bottom tier.
He does have a good custom involving repeated flying kicks. He also has a good poke in crouching light or medium kick and air to air (or ground) light kick is high priority. Anti air in crouching HP (very good). Also, HP throw into super fireball in the corner is a nice cheap tactic :wgrin:

But he’s nowhere as good as he was in Alpha 1

i belive the top is ken ryu rose chunlie. and the last 3 is dan gen birdie. idk the order on everyone else

^…no

as far as a tier list, just read the thread and other a2 thread.

I think she’s all about her cross-up jumping MK, one of the best in the game IMO. Combo that with a bunch of low LK and a HP Shou’ou Ken, and you’re raking in dat damage, baby!

You can combo HP throw into Shinkuu Gadoken in A2? :wtf:

Ok why is this game better than Alpha 3? I like it but Alpha 3 feels more complete, especially zero 3 upper where they made vism weaker.

Ok tell me Alpha 2 die hards why is this better than alpha 2. I like alpha 2 but today I’d rather play alpha 3.

Mmmm… no, not really, no. Making V-ism weaker plus the traditional Capcom balance (make everyone who was good suck) makes it a boring game.

I’m not a real big fan of Alpha, but I prefer A2 because it has the least amount of flashy crap. CC is pretty busted but I’ll take it over samey chain combos and V-ism+Sim.

And the cool music!

a3 has chain combos? other than cps chains in x-ism and the character specific ones (which are in a2)

Tell me who is good in alpha 3 and then gets bad in zero 3 upper? Elaborate. (Its dead time in my office and I need to past the time). But I really like to know this because I own both Alpha 3 and Zero 3 upper (arcade version) and I would like to know which one to leave in. Which game is better? Upper has all the characters while Alpha 3 does not. I think that’s a plus for Upper.

Thanks.

sim is terrible in upper. its really obvious. and deejay was hella nerfed from console. those are the most apparent balance changes that didnt involve tweaking any universal system. I think guy got nerfed too, off his lvl3 super. which made no sense =/

“Chain combos” referred to Alpha 1, but I forgot that Alpha 1 doesn’t exist.

As for nerfs, I believe Zangief and Sakura’s buff hitbox moves got toned down, which sounds better than it is in practice.

so how well would daigo do against valle on a2?

my magic 8ball says “try again kid”

u talking to me?.. was merely asking if valle was better than daigo at a2.

I remember Viscant posting in another thread stating that Ryu when used right with his zoning, spacing and footsie (<— that part is no easy feat period) games is the #1 best character in this game. However he did state that like only 4 or less people in the world could make Ryu this good, Valle being one of them.

I know Ryu is good, but does that hold greater notion to anyone else here, I know Viscant wouldn’t be pulling this out of nowhere if it didn’t have any credibility.

Pointless speculation is ever so productive.

I don’t see why he wouldn’t be the best? Ken just seems to do better stuff than Ryu, though. Kick AC is just too good.

lmfao, so what exactly is productive about an a2 discussion forum?
