After beating dude’s Guile with Zangief about 15-0. He wasn’t terrible I thought he was having fun playing till I got this:

I got ‘lol ur so gay’ followed by ‘mr no skill mother fucker’… This is after a comfortable first round win followed by 2nd and 3rd round perfects.
I don’t know what these people expect when they play ranked games.
well today i got my first for beating a Claw 3 times he wasent realy bad i got good luck…

Haven’t had much of anything on PSN. Suprised too, with all the tick shinanigans I do in ranked with hawk/gief.
I did have one guy that had voice chat on in a player match. It was gief vs gief. he was actually pretty decent. I won in the end though. He kept saying “You’re copying me man, I know your copying me!” after the final blow. I thought it was funny since the stuff he was doing was basic Gief 101.
Finally, I got my first hate mail. I feel proud of myself to finally be “CHEAP” enough to earn this one.
I was using Ken and I kept walking under his Ryu’s Crossover attempts and threw him as he landed on the other side 
I don’t remember how many times I threw him, he rage quit on me on a friendly game as I was practicing my shotos as backups to my Cammy.

I just don’t get some people these days…
According to them, if you lose, then you suck. But if you completely dominate them, not only do you suck, you’re also a noob for being so ridiculously good…

The error is in your assumption that what they say is true. Listening to idiots is the quickest way to become one. Think about it: These people dont even know how to play. Why take anything they say with some inkling of credence?

However it’s not that I’m taking the things they say to me seriously, I’m merely trying to understand their train of thought in regards to whether or not they realize how hypocritical they are when they do this sort of thing.
Sucky sour grape players try to justify their losses by making up personal rules for the game. I’ll explain in further detail but the jist is when they win they win and when they lose it’s hax.
Anything that beats them is unfair or just not by the book and whenever they beat you they feel like they’ve liberated a legion of shitty “playing by the book” players and have redeemed themselves. Therefore whenever you beat them you are a noob or scrub since you have supposedly brought guns to a knife fight. These hate messages also tend to come most often from players who aren’t good and have little competitive patience. People who mentally and emotionally break down when their life bar fills with red instead of learning from it. Hence there is no need for them to learn to play on a higher level of the game since they believe they are already playing at the highest “fair level” of the game. Anything else is bullshit and anytime you beat them you aren’t playing the way that is fair for them to win. Which is essentially letting them win.
People who don’t care to learn the intricacies of a competitive game only have fun when they are declared a winner or have made some kind of winning move. People who do care on the other hand know that they always win regardless of who the game declares a winner.
I took a guy out like 8 times in a row with my Blanka & M.Bison. He msged me “I hate you and hope you die.” I responded with “I have leukemia, sorry” 
Candidate for scrub of the week?
If there is a rationale, it is one of saving face. Hypocrisy is irrelevant. Its about pride. Yes, I know, how can someone who is a hypocrite be prideful, but its also kinda a spur of the moment thing. When youre pissed off you dont think rationally, and that is where the hypocrisy comes in.

Adding to this: Just a theory, but I think some people have a circle of friends who dont take the game seriously and strictly play within their circle. In this “universe” so to speak, they are only aware of certain move sets which have become “accepted” by the circle. Whether they simply dont have the knowledge of these other moves or simply dont know how to counter these moves is aside the point. They play the game in a certain way that is acceptable to them, and evidently only to them. Anything outside this box is either unacceptable or alien to them.
For instance, I know some people who play the original SF II, but refuse to play Super Turbo. Why? When I asked, I was told that learning how to do the motions for the super moves was too dificult and completely unfair because these moves had enough power to completely dominate the match. Regarding SF II, they have no knowledge of hitboxes, how broken Guile is, how to reliably buffer SPDs/DPs/combos/do reversals (how the heck do you do a 360 motion without jumping?). In fact, doing these special moves is so difficult, that they dont even use them. They just play with normals.

Yes…those are the same people that go online and get fed up with the game and throw out hate messages. They are not understanding of what it means to play truly competitive SF and just aren’t mentally ready to play at such a level. They’re King of the Couch players.
Scrubs only lose to two things: “Cheap” attacks and “boring” patterns. Deep in their heart they knows that if we’d quit being dicks and “resorting” to these tactics, they’d beat us. At least some of the time.
The irony of it all is that I’ll bet you if THEY used those said “cheap” tactics, they’d probably still lose because we’d find ways around it and they’ll be left sitting there wondering why.
well boring taktis? this would mean guiles sonic boom low roundhouse trap would be a scrub player? honestly i hate this fightingstyle but it is realy effektiv against my poor zangief… only win around 1:3 matches i hate them but the skilled ones are definitly no scrubs even those patterns ARE borring… i gues they hafe no fun by playing it
