I have Wesker on point but I actually have a lot of luck if he’s the last character, especially with level 3 X-Factor dude is a mad man.
what are you ppl talking about, wesker as anchor is godlike. unless you burned your x-factor i can see the struggle but he juggles ppl with gun, and does sentinel like damage. and i notice a lot of ppl including marn, floe, chris g, i think yipes too. they all use wesker as anchor.
ohh and anyone got strategies for fighting ammy and zero? that shit is retarted
Yes, Wesker hits like a truck, and yes, he can demolish a team with a level 3 X-Factor, but then so can a lot of the cast. He’s a better point character depending on the team.
Yipes plays Magneto primarily, so of course he’s not going to use Wesker as his first character, or even second if it even gets that far. The last time I looked at Buktooth, he uses Wesker last, but only because he likes using his assist to help Doom, and because of the X-Factor/lvl 3 – and Doom is another battery himself.
If you have meter starving characters who aren’t all that special without meters and have a hard time building them quickly, there’s absolutely no reason to save Wesker for last. He also really does need an assist to do some of his really great (post 500k) damage combos. He’s also not too terribly hard to zone out when he doesn’t have an assist.
someone want to explain to me why i cant use is samurai pistol lower shot into special? i’ve seen it before but i always get teleported instead of using the special -_-;
It’s A1+A2 after OTG Samurai Shot.
i do the motion exactly how its suppose to be, but it teleports instead of his special v-v. I input the samurai shot, then i let up on the Dpad, then input the special which i thought would work but he just teleports…
I told you how to do it, it’s DF+H xx Assist1+Assist2 at the same time.
ohhhhh…my apologies. wont that use more then one special bar?
With X-Factor he is insane, but I don’t want my last character to be dependent on having x-factor. I want to have the freedom to burn it early if I need a character kill.
And that has something to do with the notation how? Most people on these boards use :qcf: not 236
Even though this site has directional codes for a reason and QCF, QCB etc notation had been the standard long before people started posting random keyboard notation, that won’t stop some from thinking it’s now the default.
Please explain Wesker’s OTG dash c.M Link!!
I have been trying to do this forever… And I cannot find a video that shows the inputs for it… I just would like to know a simple one, such as c.L, c.M, c.H, QFC+L, OTG
( Help me with the inputs here after OTG! ). I gather it’s some sort of dash cancel into c.M… I just CANNOT seem to get the timing or inputs right…
Thanks in advanced fighters!!!
His samurai edge is the move that OTG’s them… which is :df: + :h:
So what you want after the QFC+L is dash, Samurai Edge, c.M… hitting the c.M is somewhat tight but not too bad.
Remember to not cancel your dash too soon, or your cr.M will be out of range.
another thing… you can’t do the OTG -> c.M after an air series (MMHS). it only works on the ground. wesker’s c.M has crazy range but it’ll whiff if you do the OTG too early. it’ll help to observe the distance at which you can hit the low shot OTG and the c.M to make sure you’re not whiffing due to timing, but rather, due to distance.
sample combo:
c.L c.M s.H (2 hits) xx QCF+L, dash forward, d.f H (OTG), c.M
this is pretty much my B&B combo into air series hahaha. when doing the forward dash, cancel it into the low samurai edge so that wesker kind of slides across the floor when he does the gunshot. for landing the c.M, try to watch for the moment when wesker puts away the gun in his coat.

You’ll pay for that! Wesker vs Assists thread
I was watching the Marn vs Andre FT10 and noticed Viscant’s comment about Drones shutting down Wesker based teams.
I think this would be a good thread Idea of dealing with a few certian assists (Sentinel, Akuma/Tron I have a very Angry gaze right at you three)
I guess this might be more of a team building but what advice do you guys have for dealing with these assists(among others) vs Wesker (and how to maybe prevent some of these annoying assists from ruining Wesker’s game plan)
I’m new to Wesker, and am very excited to mix people the f up w/ this guy. My question is: when the time comes to attack, or think about attacking, what are some situations a tricky wesker is looking to get into positionally? What are my positional goals? For example, “connect a f+H gun shot at H-teleport range with an assist on screen” or something(s) like that. What are you trying to do, in the abstract?
I know I’m gonna have to do a lot of my own exploration, and that’s fine, I’m looking forward to it. But I’m looking for any good little ideas to keep in mind to get a head start. Ranges or situations that should make me feel confident. Simple tricks or attacking ideas that should be in a good wesker’s mental toolbox, etc. Do’s and don’t even, maybe.
I guess im asking for some good starting advice for playing a tricky mind-fuck-the-opponent wesker. For reference the team would be Wesker Ammy Tron. thanks!
I’m still getting the hang of this link. But I never try it online, I rather X-Factor cancel of TH cancel etc. too risky to miss that online.
Does anyone actually knows the frame window for it? It’s like a 1-framer?
The problem with doing a single dash instead of wavedashing is that you cannot combo certain characters with just that single dash. You usually end up too far away. Although it is a nice and easier way for newbies who can’t wavedash yet.
I doubt the timing is that slim. If you have trouble doing this combo just go for the wallbounce palm.
